Deffo if your around and vice versa! Definitely need a decent capture card for Arma 3 even with a 1TB M2 Nvme SSD there is digital latency with streaming or recording....be nice to have Hi Res Arma 3 as I see a lot of bad videos at the moment. thanks again for feedback I will go all out once I have capture card and smaller green screen!

You're welcome for the sub matey (you should have WAY MORE) I find you quite therapeutic to watch & listen to :-)
I already made this mission for Altis, Stratis & Tanoa maps, but they all need some major updating on them as they're so old now.
I made a more simplified version where you have to capture the enemy base while protecting your own.

Sweet!!! dude how easy is it to transplant into another map or 2? lol I am really looking forward to playing this. this coming friday when my Son visits he loves fighting me haha I sincerely appreciate the follow! 8) once I get a capture card I will finally be able to host some of the best quality walk throughs especially with this campaign!

THIS is soooooo much fun!!! I wish there was way to lower AA of AI they seem a little to good!, also would love to play this on the other maps in the game!!! I want more more more please!!! lol

The original version of this mission used to have a mobile HQ where your side spawned in and had to protect.
Unfortunately people on the server used to destroy the HQ, ruin the game then disconect lol
So i altered it so every spawn was a random paradrop. Then players regroup, put down a respawn camp to use as a FOB.
I'll have to join your server sometime for a good old war :-)

@Rick D I run a Arma server and was wondering if there is a way I could have my friends spawn in at a base so we can better group up before moving out?

Try increasing the difficulty settings (veteran) and the AI will act much more realistically :-)

Added 'press' helicopters which journalists will board at random times and fly around points of interest.

Replaced all churches with SACRED ARKS :-)
This has enabled me to make them randomely placed on the map at the start of each session.
(they even spawn inside buildings)

UPDATE:
Improved AI respawn and patrol scripts.
AI will now engage at much more realistic ranges.

Yes indeed. Something has changed in the AI behaviour. Never seen this before. In this case by a pure random event. The civs decided to form 10 deep in frount of a church. They just would not move at all. First time I have seen Mahatma Gandhi tactics in Arma. Amazing outcome.

The civilian patrols are completely random but they do seem to gravitate towards structures for safety, and the time that they stand still before moving on is random so they do move eventally.
To get past them pressing 'v' to activate the step over animation usually does the trick :-)
You can also scare them away with gunfire.

The latest DEV build has completely screwed up my AI patrol & respawn scripts so I will be releasing a new updated soon with a completely new AI movement :-)

After a bit more testing I found the keep on spawing in wrong place. So there is no way to capture church at maxwel camp 032029. Trying this screws up the game.

What happens when civs block access to church by spawing in door way. How do you get past?

The only access to a church blocked this way is to kill all the civs in the doorway. Which of course screws up the game. If the game needs to be unstuck this way will the penaly be removed for killing the civs spawing in wrong place?

@teoleo... No only OPFOR & BLUFOR players can take churches.
But the AI patrols will reset the religion by entering churches or going to hell.
All the AI respawn in hell 30 minutes after death and return back to the churches so it is still a challenge to take control of them as you never know how many there will be :-)

ADDED: Armed civilians who fight along side the INDEPENDENT forces, but will mingle with the innocent civilians so double check to make sure that they're armed before engaging.

ADDED: AI controlled OPFOR & BLUFOR which creates ambient combat while playing single player :-)
This also makes the player more cautious and observant before engaging so as to not kill your own team.

Totally revamped the AI movement:
The INDEPENDENT AI soldiers movements are now totally random and will even occasionally enter and search buildings so absolutely nowhere on the map is safe anymore. Along with traveling to HELL and back they will also enter churches to reset the GODOMETER back to their religion.

Yeah the BLUFOR & OPFOR are player controlled so if you're on your own you will be against the INDEPENDENT only... It's much better with human players :-)

Actually, starting with handguns could be good, if you started near a city/town.. No problem taking a handgun in to an urban fight.. lol.

ha haa good stuff mate :-)... You're better off avoiding those snipers rather than engaging until you've found some decent gear...
What I tend to do is hide equipment in buildings then if I'm killed and sent to hell I can grab it later without having to sift through hundreds of crates.

Think yourself lucky cos I was going to make it so you start with only hand guns but decided it was too cruel lol :-)

I'm enjoying it so far.. If I had good internet I'd jump on an MP server and give it a play.. but thats not happening anytime soon.. lol. :( Otherwise, still a good mission.. Wouldn't mind seeing some of the IED stuff.. and maybe a bit more of an option on starting mission weapons. Pain trying to kill snipers with a 6.5mm rifle and an ACO..

There are many, random foot patrols, striders, helicopter, jet & mechanised infantry squads that drive around and disembark to attack enemy so there are LOADS of enemy AI infantry, vehicles & aircraft It's just the size of the map makes them hard to find sometimes (-: or they find you :-) Sometimes you can be walking miles and not see anything and other times you're being shot at from all angles It's never the same twice.
When we’re online the 1st thing is to find AA launchers get the aircraft out of the sky so we can safely move around in vehicles without getting our arses blown off from the sky
Or you can leave the AI alone and use them to your advantage against opposition when they're on your side. Usually the situation at the time decides how you play it and instinct kicks in.
It's early days but my main goal is to build a massive mission with a realistic level of action that even I don't know what's going to happen next, and it sure has thrown me some surprises so far
