it works great, it manages to FLY my boat straight after it took off lol, although no matter what i do i cant get the deflectors to turn

Does the speed sensor need to be directional or absolute?

Yeah, it takes a bit of setting up and sometimes tuning, hard to get away from that. Great to hear it's working well for you!

"The throttle for the deflector control should be set to 0.7 maximum and -0.3 minimum for full deflection."

The deflectors control the water jet. The wonderful thing about water jets is that you have fluent control over your forwards and backwards movement, meaning you can hover in one place. Put the deflectors fully forward, and the boat will move forwards. Move the deflector control stick fully backwards and the boat will move backwards. You can also set the throttle stick anywhere in between, giving you full control over exactly how fast you are moving and in which direction, without changing gears or otherwise having to make the propeller spin the other way around. It's instantenous and fluent. If you want to know more, search on Youtube for "how water jets work" or something along those lines.

Yeah, PID settings won't work perfectly for all applications since it's tuned from a specific boat. If you go into the microcontroller, you will see two PID's. One controls pitch and one controls roll. It sounds like the values for roll are a bit too high for your ship and its speed - bring all the values down but keep the same proportions between them (3:1 or whatever it is - you do the math there :P). If you're familiar with PID's you should be able to figure it out quite easily :)

I've got a 38 meter boat does over 80 knots and at high speed the stabilization makes the boat wobble violently from side to side. Are there some values I can tweak to change this? Controller works fantastic at slightly lower speeds.
