Absolutely, different types of stairs are one of our planned features. We just have some more important stuff to add first, unfortunately. I'll do a changelog and an update once the stairs are in.
Are you planning on making smaller walls and floor tiles? Like a 1x5m wall? And maybe some doors?

Stairs are a planned feature, but probably won't be added for a while until we get some more laboratory assets in. But yes, eventually we'll be able to have a TerraGroup labs setup ;)

Have used it on various "Oil Rig" compositions, and it works.
Yes, unfortunately that's a limitation of the Arma engine. Not really a lot can be done about it.
My suggestion would be to disable the ability for AI to move, and then make players sweep and clear, while the AI act as stationary defenders/turrets.
From what I understand so far the most difficult thing is to do the A.I. understand the way in buildings and so on, I miss sorts of stairs, windows and doors, even to create simple things.
Anyway if it succeeds on this journey, the mod will be well acclaimed by the content creators.

Those modular level kits are something we aim to create with a whole series of mods. We have plans to create more versions of "Modular Buildings" and have kits for mission makers for all different types of scenarios!
