CHECKUP:

there is ONLY 2 mods for the deadbeats, which are only a Dialoge fix and a mod for Obtainable Deadbeat assault rifles.

But these are the only mods that include them

also, I want to say that the Novakids are the only playable underrated race you could play as. As others are the Agarians, Deadbeats, and the Froggs, As what I can/could confirm are the only races that I've found/seen That Don't have any mods (I think Froggs and Agarians have playable race mods but aren't expanded upon). Especially the DeadBeats, as I Talked in a Discussion last year, I believe. That I have indeed confirmed have No mods that include them. (except shellguard but they were only minor enemies in that one mission)

The Vanilla assault rifle looks like somekind of modern day rifle but with a wood finish (I want to say M14 but it'll need the ringus dingus above it)
and the tungsten shotgun i think it's supposed to be a "sawed off" shotgun

also by just looking at the novakid page on the starbounder wiki the race has a pretty small content:

-only 1 village and no dungeon

-Only iron-durasteel weaponry, no Ferozium, aegisalt, or violum and even any solarium weaponry

-also no fossils, I mean, yeah they're bananas and they don't have no bones (hooster hot shots reference) But isn't their "Brands" made of metal or something? like they could have a fossilised/ancient/rusty horseshoe of a "extinguished" novakid.

-also the page mentions the race as "pseudocanon", which i guess it's like 50/50% canon in the games story. Also the wiki lists it as a stub.

Perhaps I'll do an entire series of replacers for all the caca-looking weapons in vanilla.

expand that mod with a tungsten shotgun reskin too
make it look more like a spas or smth
seriously the tungsten shotgun looks more like a weird-ass metal club than an actual gun
