You can use any water source, there is a suction coupling (top-right in back compartment) to suck water from an open water source via the hoses stored on the roof-rack when connected to the coupling under the back door. You can allso connect to a water tank directly using the hose coupling next to the back pump display. Do keep in mind that on some connections you need to enable the valve by flipping a switch next to it.

What water sources can you use, also when you say pump do you mean the one in the back side door, or the standard hose pump

in the back, you need to connect a water source to the pump, start the pump and set it to input mode

I just tested it properly, the back controls works fine until its interacted with via the side controls, then the back pump gets broken.

In addition to it not turning on, even pressing "STOP" just reboots it. I have to turn it on/off from the sides.

Am I missing anything?

Im not sure if its just me but im not able to start the pump from the back, only the side. I press the screen but it dosent do anything.

this truck has recently run into the problem of it's front suspensions not being able to support the weight, is there a fix?

@thorbino2006 Thanks, for the description i use multiple programs from the Adobe suite, they are not free so you will need to look at some alternatives like Inctspace or Coraldraw. It's basically just images.

This goes for the Unimog fire truck as well. The generator does not generate enough power when the vehicle is idling. So while using the pump or winch or other systems while running at low rpm, the battery slowly drains. I don't have a solution for this, just wanted to let you know. Otherwise awesome creations and I'm certainly hoping for more in the future. ;)

It's pretty much standard on most Dutch firetrucks, and not seen on many others outside of the Netherlands. Normally people would store ladders and other long items on the roof and would have to climb on top to get to them. The Dutch design allows for easier access. You can get it more easily, and because you don't have to have space free to walk on, you can store more items.

Most are fitted with 1 or two ladders, some driving boards, suction hoses, and more.

I actually like how the hand pumps fit on the driver's side of the vehicle, that stays in there well, especially combined with the lift of the bottom door.

Wow, thanks for the super detailed feedback list, i would love to get back on this. First of all, you said you replaced the rear wheels with suspension without making it flip... For me the suspension wheels made it flip, even with max stiffness. So i am wondering how you did that.

The problem of fitting the equipment back in is an issue that i am aware of, but right now its better than having complicated arms to fold equipment in- and out because it will reduce space, cause more lag and be less reliable because you will need power.

It took me far longer than I'd like to admit to realize how to close the doors from the inside (By using the exterior key while seated). I linked the occupancy node in the seats to the door to automatically close and open, as well as a manual button.

How on earth did you make dual wheels in the rear? They say they are 3x3 wheels when they are the size of 5x5 wheels. I swapped the wheels with suspension with stiff springs. I feel more confident on less than ideal surfaces I cannot get it to flip unless it is already on an incline.

I did enlarge the windows in the doors and add a heater and a little more gear in the rear cab.

I love the way this truck is made and operates, with the LUA displays and everything, very straightforwards. The equipment is a bit tricky to fit back in, - the solid pipe is hard to detach from the top, I'm going to add a toggle for that connector or replacing it with a winch and a monitor ladder. Use a hose and winch instead of solid pipe

it can't have suspention, cuz its too heavy.... i tried it with suspention, and it will just be at a 45degree angle in the corners

For me the only thing this vehicle is lacking is suspension. Otherwise very solid, good looking and practical truck.

Yea it's pretty hard to get it all back in, but that's a point I had to sacrifice so I could make everything fit...

Yeah, probably a game problem then. Maybe one could try increasing the pressure on higher altitudes? It worked up there with the external pump between truck and hose.

Also there should be some form of attachment point for the equipment in the back, I find it very challenging to pack everything back in the truck when done, especially the external pump and Y-Connector, but also the pylons. And the stuff always falls out when I open it.

Yup, super weird, when you get up at high altitude, its super weak..... this is also the case for the handheld extinguishers...

Hmm, when I use the Quick attack hose or attach a hose to the pump at the back I get no pressure, the water just sprays out in place. Is this normal?

I have seen multiple videos of european fire trucks tipping over in a turn.
and I don't care if they're not practical american fire engines just look cooler.

uuh, first of all, don't get me started on why American trucks suck, and why they should move over to the European style.

Second, they don't really tip over in real life, but in stormworks it's impossible to make it not tip over with any water inside, its just very heavy. If you add double wheels, it won't tip over, but that's not realistic.

I gotta say, this thing tips over easier than a toddler on a bike with no safety wheels, which is realistic because european firetrucks tend to do that for some reason
