I think there might be some tools on this workshop that lets you create rigs for models without one, but i haven't really looked into it to know for sure
Some armors have different internal names than what you'd see in Halo 3, so the Security armor is instead referred to as 'marathon', and so you'd select 'leftshoulder_mp_marathon' and 'rightshoulder_mp_marathon' from the bodygroups menu on the animation set for the Mark VI model
But they require manual installation

That's the weird thing about the EOD helmet, the color map says that the white parts are to be partially colored, but they are clearly white in Halo 3, so there must be some shader shenanigans in place to prevent that
