It's the mode you've selected in the options for weapon hand. If it's set to left handed, use this mod instead of the main one.

You can use the bow in either hand!

"left handed" is mean grab bow is with left hand or pulling the bowstring with the left hand?

you can hold it in either hand, this is just for compatibility with the setting in the controls menu since that swaps the controller IDs around and I couldn't find a way to tell the difference in scripting at the time!

I don't think that's the reason, because I just resubscribed, enabled it in the settings, and opened a new gear but still can't get the arrow

That will happen if you don't use the left handed weapon mode in the settings too. Switching it on breaks the right-handed version. Hopefully that's the cause of it!

The left-handed version of the recurve has no way of pulling out arrows, but the right-handed version can, even if it is regenerated using the console. Bing Translate

Do you have to install both to make the "left" one work? I just can't get it to spawn and it's the only one i have that doesn't spawn.

@decbue14 are you using the right mod version? This one only works when the left handed weapon mode is active. Go through some of the details on the main mod page if you get stuck. Let me know if this helps.

Bows are held in the hand opposite to your dominant EYE, not hand. Because that eye is where the bowstring goes when aiming.

@Don Minu Yes, if you are right handed, you use the bow in the left hand, just like real life.

@Don Minu doesn't matter if you're right or left handed. You should only use this mod if you have the left handed weapon mode selected in the settings. Hope this helps.

@LEMONKLAEYZ Hi, this was an intentional choice when the mod was created. I was under the assumption that arrows should be knocked on the outside from how other games did it. Recently someone pointed out that they learnt to draw on the inside (above the thumb) irl. If I get some time in the future I might look at adding the option to switch sides.

I'm using the regular add on, but the arrow is on the left side of the bow. what the hecks going on? Im right handed, so i hold a bow in my left hand and draw with my right. why does the arrow keep going on the left side of the bow?

@Verda Are you using the correct weapon hand in the settings? This version of the mod is for the left-handed weapon mode. For the right-handed one, try the original mod linked in the description.
Let me know if that doesn't work, it's fixed it for others in the past.

Don't worry about it. Best way to check, start a new game from one of the later chapters. If you don't see the bow then it isn't working. You can also look in the console to see if it's trying to spawn a bow but failing. Thanks for giving it another go.

@jstrevezza, there are more details on the main page linked in the description. Start after the intro chapter, disable other addons just to be safe. Let me know if you keep having issues with it.

On the table to the left, there's a picture of it on the main page. If the bow isn't spawning in any of the other chapters either then it isn't installed correctly. Make sure it's enabled in the addon menu first too.
