I hope it works, have fun!
my guess is that it is related to mods with requirements?
But good anyway. I liked the spooky feeling in the inn and the mysteries inside. I really hope to play next part soon.
As mentionned before, some lore will be good too.
Ty and see you soon, I hope.
The cleaning of the inn will get a little more attention, and more "lore" will be left lingering left and right. The story and context will be more worked out, and the (short) adventure less linear.
So, I'm in the process of perfecting this Prelude, to make it more of an coherent experience. An update will come, but due to lack of time, it still could take a while. ;)
So what I liked:
- I liked the maps over all. A little plain on the 'world map' but the inn was reasonable nice. Clearing and cleaning was a nice touch. Honestly I was hoping to do a bit more with taking care of the inn before the plot kick in.
- Not a huge fan of monsters spawning triggers that jump nearly on top of you. But only the rats behind the inn caused this issue.
- Sorta wish the goblin had a tiny bit more to do with the module. I assume he is for something later if this story is to continued.
- A little lore within the module would have been nice. A book or something within the inn to hint at a deeper history would have been welcome but I understand this is more a quick demo then anything else.
So I enjoyed my experiences and would like to see what you can do with this. My feelings where positive playing this.
I've to check about the script underflow messages. I did not notice them, but I'll look for them now you mentioned it.
This Prelude was intended to be very short, to see how it's being experienced by players. Larger modules might come if the concept and style is well received.
I'll put more attention to spelling and grammar the next time.
Thanks again for your comments. ;)
I did notice that the text was a little "rough", grammar/spelling-wise, it's not a big deal though!
I also got messages in my chat box about "script underflow" or something when lighting candleabras and wall torches. It didn't seem to cause any problems though, but just in case, I thought it was best to tell you.
All in all, even though it was really really short, it set up an intriguing mystery and I really want to see more! :D
