Jarsp, Sorry you're having trouble; do you have the 'Gust Lock' on or off?

The plane will start, but the throttle gets a little weird. If you put it in reverse, it wont move at all.

NebulousIdiot, you probably have 'infinite electricity" turn on. Turn that 'off' in the options and you should be good.

I found the gust lock control lever, flipped it (I've followed all other instructions to the letter) and the throttle won't go past 12 %

CatWithABat, AH HA! I see where the confusion is now! In the directions I said "5% NG", that is wrong!
It should be 10%. Sorry about that, I'm fixing the directions now! I must have changed it at some point and forgotten to edit the description.

CatWithABat, also worth noting that if the starter is left on and the condition button is never turned on, the starter will "time out" and shutoff.
Also, make sure to turn off the starter once the engine is running or you will "burn out" the starter motor and be unable to start the engine again.

CatWithABat, so I JUST gave it a whirl now and everything seems to be working just fine.
Make sure the 'NG' is above 10% before turning the Condition button (arrow key) for the respective engine 'on'.

The plane is broken again. The right engine is running at ~50% power while the left is running at ~100% power

hey the front wheel needs a lock, Its buckling even with a very slow acceleration.

ninjabreadvan, yes Friday's update screwed up the center of mass (CoM) of Micro Controllers...hopefully we see a fix soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

When I drive it out of the hangar it goes for a few meters before the rear of the plane just glitches out and the plane just falls apart

JDraak, indeed we've all been spoiled by the weird aerodynamics in the game. As I'm sure you're aware exclusively yawing aircraft is not a common practice nor safe. Which is why a coordinated turn combines both the use of the ailerons and rudder. If I allowed the rudder it's full range of movement the aircraft would be able to perform some pretty unrealistic aerobatics, personally I don't care for that much. Again, glad you're enjoying it and the other aircraft! Take care!

I noticed on autopilot it really takes a wide turn but when i turn it off it is little more responsive and with this plane i use the rudder more than the ailerons and sometimes both just something i need to get use to still a awesome plane just like the others of yours i tried out :)

JDraak, Thanks for the nice comment! Are you turning with the rudders or ailerons? Eitherway, I intentionally inhibit the effectiveness of the control surfaces on most my vehicles as it makes them not only behave more realistically but all makes controlling them easier. Also in the case of this aircraft specifically it is designed to operate more sluggishly at lower speeds so as to make landing easier, at higher speeds the roll rate will be increased.

love the plane looks good mostly works good only thing is takes forever to make a turn am i doing something wrong or missing something?

augustjax11, glad you like the FireCat. Honestly, if I'm going to do a CalFire version the perfectionist in me will have to make it a E/D Tracker...I can't help myself Someday maybe, never say never.

I also am a fan of CalFire (CDF) and if you somehow could make a livery, even if its unrealistic with the size, that would be amazing!

Will Hayes, I mean absolutely no offense when I say this, but your troubles would suggest you haven't followed the checklist, or you're not understanding it (I'll assume it's the later). If you turn the Engine Condition switches ON before the NG rpm reaches 5% you will experience a flame out, which you are. Wait for the NG to rise over 5% then switch the associated Condition switch on. As for the throttle not rising over 0.11 that is because you still have the Gust Lock on, turn it off and you'll have full range of the throttle. If you have further trouble understanding the directions please don't hesitate to let me know, I'll try to help, where I can.

Howdy, I am trying to start the engines. Ive followed the checklist but then the RP will go up to about 47 and just drop, the PSI on both engines stays around 1487, I followed the check lift and it still wont start. I attempted to increase the throttle to get a higher RP but it wont go past 0.11

UPDATE 03 DEC 2020:
- Added Heading Hold to Autopilot, automatically holds heading when turned on. Heading Hold will shutoff when rudder or aileron inputs are detected and then hold new heading when control surfaces are released by pilot
- Reduced tendency of the aircraft's nose gear to smack the ground upon landing.

James, ok the engines are hydraulically powered, they will not open or close without the engines running. Unless you use the 'Emergency Retardant Dump' button. In which case they can be opened but have to be reset by opening then closing them via the retardant dump button. Or if you prefer instead of reset, cycled might be a better word.
