omg this is gonna be awesome for my skynet scenario,, thankyou,, full credit will be given,, this is exactly what ive been needing, maybe some overly large ones? ones that can span like 2 or 3 blocks maybe, its a bit annoying having to use unbuilt windows to make it look like theres supporting struts, especially for building that overhang ledges,, or an asteroid base, it would give it an anchor point, even if its large grid but modular, like base, middle, end, cos then we could make some turly aweome looking mountain bases

This mod is awesome!!! This was totally needed to build proper catwalks. And IMHO should be added to the game. Bloody well done mate!! Cheers. :)

Added. Sorry it took so long. Got a lot of modding stuff going on and didn't get around it yet.
I see how that should have been a priority. It bugged me as well having to hover over and read the block names. xD

any update on the icons? not really clear when player see a default icon of pillar...

Yeah, i believe it would. It's very hard to model by proximity because we don't have access to the dlc stuff, so can't import model and work with them but rather, need to model, load game, check how it looks, check location etc, rinse and repeat way too many times. T.T
The stair strut was a pain to model. :(
But I'll see what i can do.

A nice way to connect Catwalks to Ceilings would be greatly appriciated!!! Love this mod tho! A must have now i've found it haha

Suggestion: A three-point version woul be nice so I can put railings (for instance) in a corner. ;)

Uh yes, sounds reasonable. I did not thought about grinding.

Small grid is a bit more problematic. A if I kept the size of a single corner strut the same, it would be too large and look odd. However, if I'd make it proportional to the blocks, they would be too small for grinding. You'd have a very hard time. So I didn't really notice the need on small grid as it's a small grid to begin with and somehow found myself having more leeway for build then large grid. 😅

These are M A S S I V E L Y needed! My stuff craves the use of things like this, earlier I had to substitute a Corner LCD as mounpoint which looked uglier than ugly, with these structural elements, (which definetly should be in Vanilla) I can make that stuff possible without sacrificing aesthetics. These are a buttload of awesome!

About LOD, I'd just make them disappear over a certain distance, those things look really small.
Or maybe an intermediate double sized triangle would work, I believe.

Specifically the Stair struts, wont fit/look right used somewhere else.
I could probably make a script to only allow placements on the stairs. Will look into it, but for now, i think common sense and also player freedom should do enough.

Do tell if you guys have a block combo that could need a specific strut design.

I had an uglier version for the longest time and there was almost no large grid where i didn't need it and used it in SP. xD
Moved my stuff to a MP server now so i thought might as well redo the models a bit nicer and release it. Glad I'm not the only one that needs those. :D
