Need to say, at "Items-Weapons-Manufacturer" when you add "Ebony" as "weapon models" make sure the first value be highest than the one in use, for example in vanilla Edge Type 3 is 80, but if having NWDM it add 3 more models at 80, 85 and 90, so you need to put Ebony atleast at 91 or create a new to put 2 differents value, the reason?, if you set it at 40 (is the value it give when u first add it) and you put a good weapon smither to craft, it will give critical success and get instead a MK1 which is value 50
Another possible option is to cap the maximum quality level that the Ebony Weaponsmith can give, it would be done in a similar way to how the vanilla Weaponsmith table caps at level 1 and level 2.

Hiya, I'm not sure if you fixed how to make "ebony quality" weapons. For now, what I did was take the "luxury/very luxury/beautiful luxery" quality weapons from the "NWDM" mod as a reference. I found that in the "Items-Weapons-Manufacturer" section, specifically in "Homemade," you have to add the "Ebony" model in "weapon models," and the 8 ebony weapons in "weapon types." The only downside is that in the "Ebony Weapon Smith," not only do the 8 ebony weapons appear with their respective "Ebony" model, but ALL the weapons also include any you may have from other mods, hahaha.

On the other hand, I don't know if this happens to you, but the "Ebony Bow" icon doesn't appear in my inventory, and it just remains as a blank 8x2 rectangle. Using the "Crossbow Expansion" mod as a reference, they create a separate icon file that they then add to the bow/crossbow, just like the "Ebony Ore," "Ebony Plate," and "Ebony Bars" items in this Ebony mod.

Oh, I see. Curious, I wonder if the models sharing two manufacturers causes the issue perhaps. Going to simply just toss ebony in the models for Ebony Weapons and not have rusted junk /// rusting blade in the manufacturers for ebony weapons. Curious if that will fix it, also apparently an update broke some minor things, again.

After 30 hours of hard work, you told me that the quality is not as good as Tier 3. This made me very frustrated and I didn't even want to continue playing!

Hey! Great News! Guys! I find out why only catun 1 can be crafted! You need to add ebony weapon model into the list of homemade manufacturer in fcs, just that simple :steamsad:. Holy, it takes me 3 hours to test this out...

Sorry for the rather dumb question and all but, how do you modify the max capacity of the ore mines that naturally spawn out in the world in this mod?

I used to get this bug a lot too back when I used this mod (over a year ago)
Seeing as how the mod hasnt been updated since 2022 the bug must still be present. Other than manually moving your characters, there isnt any workaround i could find.

anybody else have the issue where your miner will go deposit ore in a container then walk back to the ebony node and then just stand there and not mine?
and if so has anyone found a work around besides trying to reposition them a bunch of times until they finally get close enough without bouncing off the node?
(I even ran a test with 20 guys assigned to mine the same ore and one one by one they would drop off ore then come back and just stand next to the node and not work on it until there was nobody working on it)

My guy... I just researched the first two options.... Now I need 4 more AI cores to finish the armor and weapons? Thats 150,000 total just in AI cores not to mention 15 engineering research artifacts? I don't even know If I like the mod yet because I haven't actually laid eyes on anything but ebony ore veins that take longer to yield a product than any other vein type yet I have a town with 30 plus people in it... Surely there is an option to make creating this armor not be the ENTIRE focus of your ENTIRE playthrough?

Hi, Teirdalin. This armor is really cool, I really, really like it. Can I use it in my mod? I modified the UV and texture of the model to give it a black and red color scheme, and added a red flashing flash to the eyes, making it look like a raging knight.

I really like the appearance of this armor and weapon, but a small regret is that the abdomen of this armor appears too bulky. It feels like a person with a beer belly standing there, and there may be problems with the connection of the armor when adjusting the waist size. It looks very strange.

That's definitely a workaround that could work, but would be fairly tedious and not make sense to people who want to just smelt and craft their own. Better to actually figure out what the heck is causing it to craft as catun instead.

Do you know what you could do? I found the base of the Ebony knights, and some of them had the weapons in "Ebony" tier, so you could make more bases or groups of enemies patrolling the map, so little by little we could get all the weapons

Thank you for this incredible mod! :rshout: I absolutely ADORE the Ebony armour and always have my characters don them in any TES game! I hope you don't mind that I made a patch for this as I just wanted the armours. If you find it helpful feel free to link to it. :love:

@Teirdalin for some reason the quality is still having issues from what everyone below stated before. I went into FCS after the fact to see if I could edit the quality through one of my saves. But it didn't change the quality surprisingly, the ebony waraxe level was raised from 40 to 95 and it still won't have a high, specialist or master grade quality. I even used some of the game's base values like (Edgewalkers - 1070-gamedata.base Edge Type 1 - 1068-gamedata.base Edge Type 2 - 1071-gamedata.base Edge Type 3 - 1069-gamedata.base) but the item just disappeared. I'm not to great at this sort of thing so hopefully this helps in some way.

Honestly I think this mod, just hates everyone with no reason. I can take another look, but for some reason This Mod In Particular, out of all my hundred or so other mods, just hates to work just right.

the weapons are somehow still bugged, crafting results in catun models, and stats are pretty low, given there's only 1 quality. also the bow is invisible

oh i have found where was the problem, it seems that the "ebony weapon smith" is actually bugued (?) and makes me craft only catun 1. but when i try to make ebony weapons from the normal weapon smith it let me craft them but with steel bars instead and they comes "whiteish/metal colour",i tried crafting the bow but it's actually invisible

Considering when I loaded it up last time in the editor there was a notification about new data, I think a stealth update screwed with the mod. Although it all looks correct.

yeah still catun 1, when i am crafting it, it gives me: "expected result: rusten" even with skill 60+ but it still gives me catun 1 when it completes tho

Handful of issues with that. But you do remind me, i did finish and was working on an ordinator armor and dunmer race mod. I should get around to publishing that at some point. Was going to have a custom faction for them as well but then had the horribly annoying publishing bug where I cannot have any thumbnails without tons of errors and my newer uploads seem to sometimes not even uplaod in one piece... Issue..

Can you do a version where it's just the regular research, armor and weapons instead of adding in the special ore/town/other ebony town. Like crafting a regular samurai armor with normal ingredients. Pretty plsssss.

Never really had the issue with any of my other mods weapon crafts, although mayhaps it could be related to having multiple grades for the same weapon.

While Ebony Weaponry in of itself has the grades, i believe its only for existing weapons in the world (a good example being what the the Ebon Knights already have equipped).
From what i've gathered, Homemade is adding to what grades the player can craft.

I've personally tried crafting without adding the grades to Homemade, and ended up having the same issues, crafting recipe (and result) be Catun 1 when selected.

The only reason I figured this out is i cross referenced your mod with a few other mods enabling custom craftable grades (. All of them had these custom grade models in their own Manufacturer (such as your Ebony Weaponry), as well as in Homemade.
