Yep, I'm aware of this. It is unfixable for the implementation of this mod to my knowledge.

The cause is basically the summoning mod change is located in the same file (Which is why I made mods combining it with my AP ones) so the Larian gift bag will overwrite the file to make its change and thus undo this mod.

Due to how Larian gift bags load in game, they will always load after all your other mods that kick in when you start the game up. Meaning they'll always overwrite directly conflicting files simply due to being added to the load list later.

If you want to use both an AP change and this mod, I have some mods on my workshop that combine this change and my AP mods.

Do you have a mod list you can show me to try to nail it down at all?
The most common conflict is AP mods, which is why I made my own mod versions that combined AP changes and summon limit changes (so that there'd be no need for conflicting mods as one mod did both things), but even so other things use the same file so there can be other conflicts too.

I did not have anything that gave more Ap at all and it didn't work but I have one now that gives 8ap

usual checks; do you have any other mods, (including gift bags) that mess with the AP system at all? Extra AP per turn, max AP, etc.

They are effectively mods that load AFTER the community mods present in the mod list, so annoyingly they will always overwrite mods if they conflict with them directly due to that priority. I am not aware of any steps around it unfortunately.

Though I do have some mods that have an 8 AP cap and summon limit increases, if you start another game do try one of those, should give both changes correctly (Though only if the max AP giftbag is not used, as it'd overwrite again)

That's a curious one. Are you using any Larian mods? Specifically the Maximum AP one? (Larian mods are otherwise known as "gift bags" for example, though I don't remember the button name in game.

If so, odds are the max AP one is overwriting the changes this one makes, as they use the same file.

This doesn't work for me, it's the only mod I have and i cannot summon more than one summon

Unfortunately I'm not really aware how to do so, not really touched game master modding at all so I'm unaware where to start for that. If anyone else knows how, they are free to convert any of my mods to Game Master Mode though.

@ae, sometimes it downloads it but it doesn't put the mods into the larian studios document mods folder which is what the games detects. Make sure to find the downloaded workshop mod somewhere in your steam folder and add all the mods into the document mods folder. You can search up this bug on google as well

Damn. I don't typically use new skill mods so I'm not super familiar tbh. I *think* the uhh.. overlord necromancy mod had at least something that didn't create a portrait when I had to test that with one of my mods due to an issue. Tried that one maybe?

Assuming you mean the summon portraits, I haven't found anyway to deal with those sadly.

If you're not too picky on what you're summoning perhaps you could try some summoning skill mods? Its possible some of those might not have potraits in the first place which would avoid that issue at least.
