Already has. But is a new mod. You scrolled past the link to write the comment.
KillerGestapo 21 nov, 2020 @ 23:15
When will this mod be updated for 2.8?
Snowstorm 14 nov, 2020 @ 17:32
So that shipset will be built into RIGSD instead of being its separate mod? Cool.
Crabpack 14 nov, 2020 @ 8:12
uuuh sounds nice and the link works just subbed to the 2 new versions :)
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 8:10
Well, at present im working on Ascend perk tech trees. So that your ships adapt based on your choices. I expect that will scratch your itch.
Crabpack 14 nov, 2020 @ 8:08
i mean you dont have to go that far if its a bit much work i just thought the ideas of both mods would work well with eachother to make the game even more diverse
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 8:05
Oh god, adapting that mod would be difficult. It would force me into increasing the size of the mod by around 3X. given the tiers mechanic. Overall, im not so sure that would be a good use of my time. I will look at their combat computers tho.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 8:03
I;ll look at it. Also, other mod page should be live now.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 7:53
I have no idea what that mod is. you should link it.
Crabpack 14 nov, 2020 @ 7:47
(since the new modlink doesnt seem to be quite rdy yet ima ask here real quick.)

id imagine that your mods and Balanced Space Warfare v2.0 would conflict with eachother in a lot of ways, but after looking at it i personally think it would be incredible if they could somehow work together.

so would there be a possibillity for that in the future mby?
Crabpack 14 nov, 2020 @ 3:15
Nice
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 3:14
There are a number of issues with the way the shipset is coded. I can solve all of them with my current set up.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 3:14
I will be stripping it, and making it core to the mod, without the need to download the shipset.
Crabpack 14 nov, 2020 @ 2:47
is there anything planned for the AI shipset since the current mod is discontinued and therefore isnt up to date?
MorallyGray  [skapare] 14 nov, 2020 @ 0:58
Ai pass is complete. I have just attempted to update. But, like every time i attempt to update this mod, Steam screws me.

As with before, it would be far easier for me to create a new mod, than it would be to go through the process of trying to sync the discriptor file. So, within hours i will be launching a new mod. For both RIG-SD and RIG-WD. I will be posting links on both mod pages when this happens.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 13 nov, 2020 @ 1:35
Platforms done. Now i will finish up the AI and some modules. Then release.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 11 nov, 2020 @ 19:02
Titan done.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 10 nov, 2020 @ 5:25
Battleships done. only a handful left. Looking for a weekend update.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 9 nov, 2020 @ 8:14
Jugger done.
Snowstorm 8 nov, 2020 @ 6:50
awesome
MorallyGray  [skapare] 7 nov, 2020 @ 19:41
Cruisers done.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 5 nov, 2020 @ 6:48
Covettes and Destroyers done.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 4 nov, 2020 @ 21:38
Role bonus decided. Necroids will be plasma/exotic focus, with a minor sheild increase.

Corvettes and destroyers are fully planned and ill work on them tonight. Im aiming for weekend finish to all ships.

Turns out ill need to build lvl 2-3 stations for necroids from scratch. Shouldnt be an issue. I love the current ship set.
larchy 3 nov, 2020 @ 2:18
Fair enough, thanks for replying and all the hard work you've done :)
MorallyGray  [skapare] 3 nov, 2020 @ 2:07
I wasnt a fan of Kurogane. For one reason. When i last used them, there was no turret models. This breaks immersion for me. Until that is rectified, there will be no update for them. Soz.
larchy 2 nov, 2020 @ 10:28
Thankyou so much for the work put into this - it breathes new life into the game and makes each faction much more distinct.

Would there be any chance of supporting the amazing Kurogane shipset at all?

Necroid weapons - some form of leeching/debuff weapons? Is it possible for them to give a malus to enemies like slower speed/fire rate etc
Zia 1 nov, 2020 @ 11:10
I'd give them bonuses to armour, armour regeneration, but very low shields, and a focus on burst damage, with low disengage chance and a bit more in system speed.

Weapon wise I'd say exotic, but I kind of feel they deserve a new weapon type given their strange style and distinct tone.

OR

Make their small ships cheaper (Corvette and destroyer), and with less firepower, to make them more swarmable, and make their capital ships more costly and hold a lot of fighters to give a "Swarm of undead" feel.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 31 okt, 2020 @ 3:16
im liking a plasma cannon / exotic focus.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 30 okt, 2020 @ 19:42
I have played with the idea of a virus ship set. Like the beast from homeworld cataclysm. This is possible ingame. Other mods have already completed the code years ago.
DragoonBlade 30 okt, 2020 @ 19:09
The Necroids should have the ability to turn defeated ships into "Zombie ships" owned by them whenever an enemy ship is defeated by them.
Daarath 30 okt, 2020 @ 17:36
Definitely Exotic and maybe Plasma/Laser or even Strike Craft?
Snowstorm 30 okt, 2020 @ 10:09
an exotic/explosive dual start would be interesting
Frai7ty 30 okt, 2020 @ 9:42
Exotic Weapons, and regenerating hull?
Crabpack 30 okt, 2020 @ 1:15
honestky id like to see necroids get bonuses for disrupters and/or mby change them a bit around to make them a possible galactic threat (i dont care much for balance so i understand if you take other suggestions over mine)
MorallyGray  [skapare] 29 okt, 2020 @ 17:06
Ok boys and girls. Necorids are out. Give me some weapon type combos and themes youd like to see for role bonus.
Crabpack 28 okt, 2020 @ 9:18
would have been happy to help with that but i sadly wont be able to promise that id be available when the time comes
MorallyGray  [skapare] 28 okt, 2020 @ 4:47
O-02 is correct. I WILL be putting necroids in. I have most of it planed out, but will have to take a week or two to test out the plans. Beyond that, I want to get people together for a multiplayer test of everything at some point after necroids. Add me as friend and ill put you on a list.
Snowstorm 27 okt, 2020 @ 18:03
The current one is in the steam workshop image list. When Necroids come out, he'll update the sections spreadsheet to include the new shipset; which had its section names and slot counts done by me.
Zia 27 okt, 2020 @ 13:08
Hey chief, you had a really good spreadsheet that showed what the effects where at one point, do you have a version with the new shipsets?
lewis 24 okt, 2020 @ 14:20
The -100% docked ship upkeep bonus for humanoid starbases doesn't seem to be working for me. Tested at start of game, slapped all of my starting corvettes and civi ships into orbit, and there was still upkeep on them.
Can't think of any other mods in my playset that would cause the issue, and the +2 sensor range starbase bonus worked fine.
Crabpack 21 okt, 2020 @ 9:08
that would be awesome since i like playing with either starnet or some other AI improvement mod and now that your mod is here i just love it too much to turn it off so no AI improvents for me ATM i guess XD
MorallyGray  [skapare] 21 okt, 2020 @ 8:54
I want to reach out to starnet devs to see if they would help me with the Ai.
MorallyGray  [skapare] 21 okt, 2020 @ 8:54
No, Starnet wont like this at all. I needed to do a very primitive rework on Ai to get it to build.
Crabpack 21 okt, 2020 @ 7:42
found the issue apperently starnet AI doesnt like your mod
Crabpack 21 okt, 2020 @ 7:20
ok no wasnt that still doesnt work for some reason
Crabpack 21 okt, 2020 @ 7:15
wait nvm think i found it apperently it changed my entire loadorder by adding one more mod XD
Crabpack 21 okt, 2020 @ 7:11
it shouldnt have a problem with the giga engineering mod should it cause as soon as i added it the faction bonuses stopped working and theres only vanilla segmets showing for the ships
MorallyGray  [skapare] 20 okt, 2020 @ 23:44
Thats kinda what im going for. Im also extremely lazy.
Crabpack 20 okt, 2020 @ 10:57
i mean when necroids was announced i fully prepared to not see any updates till after their release since that would be a pretty logical descision from a modders perspective
