Find the file you want to extract, open it using the VPK application, which is located in the bin folder and transfer the extracted files to the directory of your addon.

Hello @Fat Cat, they will not work if they are decompiled and placed in the game folder, you must extract them as-is from the VPK.

I'm actually having a problem. The files are de-compiled and extracted to the game folder of my addon, yet I cannot seem to be able to find / use the models in-game.

Hello @Makah, all of Valve's models are compiled with no source counterparts, and work fine in Hammer, as do these models. Try ensuring that you copied the contents to the game variant of your addon folder, and not content.

Hmm Im actually having trouble to locate them in source2 hammer. Id assume its because they are in the compiled _c and for hammer we need the uncompiled ones. I tried removing the _c but then it gave me an error model. So how should I get it in?

@VRsquid you can acces the gloves with the game without a mod for it but i know for a fact that someone has made new models i think you can download right know3

Hello @GrEeNmAnGo, if you are referring to the message that says "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." upon opening the EXE, you can safely disregard this by clicking "More info", followed by "Run anyway". This notice is in part due to the fact that VRF does not have a digital signature, something that, unfortunately, costs a lot of money to obtain for an executable.

Really great work guys, you guys are amazing for giving this out. I just have a little feedback if you don't mind, specifically in regards to the Citadel. I personally think you should maintain the number of cables we see present on it in Half Life Alyx. Without them it just seems a bit barebones now. Especially towards the bottom. I'd also consider making the iconic spiky side protrusions and side artifacts a bit more prominent and numerful? I can appreciate that you guys are going for as close as the half life design as possible but I honestly think that doing what I suggested would really increase the visual fidelity of the model from a VR perspective. But that aside again fantastic work all around, all the models are immaculately constructed.
