I did the instructions and I couldn't spawn the ship, i did click on "load" and selected "SS Normandie," and i clicked "test location" but it never spawned even though i waited for a while

Man every time I play stormworks I play with all of your ships.They are beautiful. But I was wondering if you could maybe build the S.S. Michelangelo its my favorite liner and it would be awesome if you could build it and please if you do build it please give it the same speed as the Post war Lafayette.

@abris: As far as I know there's a maximum build area (I think it's approximately 75x75x150) regardless of what you set the size to in the xml files. In game it will look like you can build out but when you try to the blocks will be in red. Maybe there's a hack for this? Anyway, all I do for large ships is build them in sections and attach the sections with magnets.

Hello! How can it be built on such a large scale?
I mean, I rewrote the building size on an island in the program files and I can build quite large, but there are bigger buildings than I can build and how were they made?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"laggy" i was woried then i saw his pc specs. I though my ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1650 were gonna lag lets load up the game and see if its laggy :) 16gb 3600 corsair vengance btw

follow the directions in the description, this will fix problems with spawning in creations 99% of the time

HOW TO LOAD THE SHIP---------------------------------------------------------------------------

First you have to start a game in "Custom Game Mode" at the "CUSTOM BASE OIL RIG (LARGE)".
Next press escape and click on the "Custom Menu" tab.
Enable "Infinite Electric", "Infinite Fuel" and disable "Engine Overheating". If you don't do this the ship will not work! Next, press escape and click on the "Addon Editor" tab.
Click on "Load" then select the workshop tab.
Select "SS Normandie" from the list.
Next press the "Test Location" button.

The game will do an autosave and after a while the ship will appear. It will take a little bit to load so be patient.

i really wish there was a way to turn on all the lights with one button, or at least one location with the lights switches instead of hunting the halls and ship for each small section

Just give it some consideration. I can help with deck layout, and I do have the France and Norway downloaded on Minecraft so It would be easier to lay stuff out. But for now, one project after another.

It would be worth it though to see one of the greatest liners that ever did float. And plus it could have some interiors like the Windward and Leeward Dining rooms, a couple of cabins, stair tower 1 and 5, the Roman Spa, Saga Theater, and the promenade deck that could include Club International and the Sports Bar.
And for the Lite version, you could exclude the Roman Spa, the Saga Theater, and either the Club International and the Sports Bar.

That will look really sick. Even right now it looks beautiful. I am also just really surprised how well my computer is handling this ship, both the lite edition and the regular. And I am using a laptop!

I agree that the current ship is plenty big but it is 4 decks short and the beam is about 20 meters narrow compared to the real thing. I originally wanted to make this full scale but the game at the time could not handle it but with recent optimizations I'm going to try again. The current scale is not going anywhere and I'm working on updates and new variants of it. The big boy scale will just be a bonus for those whose computers can run it.

New versions of this ship are in progress and an update is coming to improve the sinking mechanics. Also, a very LARGE new version will be coming sometime this year hopefully.

I just tested the ship to make sure everything was still working the way it should and everything checked out. If you are having trouble starting and operating this ship or my other ship, the Irvin, please watch the tutorial videos I've made to show how things work. The video shows it much better than I can explain it, it is the second video to the right at the top of this page where it shows the preview pictures.

Does anybody know why the ship won't even spawn? I've never had this issue before with environment mods, but it won't even throw up the "loading Vehicles" thing.

Oh crap... Its a miracle my laptop even allowed me to access this beautiful creation! But it came at a price, and that price was lots of lag. And I have to walk to the engine room. Thank you for answering and keep up the good work!
I have an idea for another project. See, I love all of the old passenger liners, paddle steamers,etc that Stormworks builders create. But one of the things I would love to see would be some modern cruise ships. Like Carnival, Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Disney etc. This is just a suggestion, you don't HAVE to do this. Not unless you want to. Thank you for your time.
