There's a lot of modding documentation around the SCS truck sim games, I advise to take a look at the SCS Software Modding wiki for more infos and tutorials, they have one for the truck accessories that was really helpful when I was begining.

It might be too long to describe it accurately basically I copied the files of one existing flag from the game, renamed it after the flag I wanted to add (used "rai" for "rainbow" per example, you need to keep its name short), edited the texture file (.dds) in the "vehicle" folder so it shows the correct flag using gimp (save with the mipmaps on this one), edited the two following .mat and .tobj files so it redirects to the correct texture file; edited the menu texture in the "material" folder (don't save the mipmaps on this one), and changed as well the two other files redirecting to it; and then edited ALLL of the text files in the "def" folder that has one folder per truck and per flag placement, that's giving the full name of the flag to display, price, model, etc. (basically you just need to put the correct name on each), this is where the text editor with mass renaming comes in handy.

@avgeek: Sure, regarding the floating flags on the windows and bumpers, you might want to get the Flag DLC to have a proper official ref, but basically you'll need a texture editor (Gimp works nicely if you need a free software), a text editor that's code-oriented so you can mass edit a bunch of text files (I used Sublime Text at the begining but later moved to Geany as I swapped PCs), and maybe an hexadecimal editor for one specific type of file they're using.

Updated to add support for the Kenworth T680 2022 by SCS Software and re-exported all accessory models to get current automat format for the game to use.

I meant the new ones. The 2022 version of the T680

It should work with the older Kenworth T680. I'll look into the new Kenworth T680 see about getting the items to work with it.

It should work on the 2 Volvo VNLs from SCS Software. Are you trying to use this on a mod Volvo truck?
