Here's an idea you should try


Update the game and add a monarch (Pahlavi Dynasty) path and also make a unique division uniform for Iran. And make new portraits because the default portraits look pretty sad.

currently it crashes the game on the loading screen

@AeneasXI if you want some proper sources for history, checkout Iranica online, https://www.iranicaonline.org/ for WAAAAY more accurate sources than the lies of wikipedia.
Read up on Reza Shah, Mohammad Reza Shah, and their political and economical changes and situation while ruling to get a feeling of what they did for Iran.

@OpalScion me neither but its the only event that references Karbal and in any case the reference was wrong so I changed it. I didn't find any other references to Karbal in the files... ^^

I'll send photos of the Iran issue tomorrow, I didn't get any of the event but I can send some of the modified borders...Essentially, Iran declared on Iraq and Afghanistan pretty much consecutively. Iraq took almost all of the territory, with Afghanistan almost about to capitulate, when Iran cap'd. Iraq had at one point controlled the borders almost to the far Eastern edge when Iran cap'd, but Iran ended up in the same spot pretty much. I don't believe it was puppeted or changed government or anything, but I'll send screens of that too. I think the borders may have changed *slightly*, but I didn't notice anything until I compared it with a map of modern-day Iran. Again, screenies to follow.

@Opal Ty Alright I think I found the Issue with the Karbala event! The effect triggered a news event for america when it should have triggered a custom one for persia. As for Ai Iran capitulating but the borders not changing can you give a little more information about that please?

In the same game, Iran capitulated to Afghanistan and Iraq, but the borders didn't change at all-the war just ended, and it wasn't a white peace. I'll try and get screenshots.

Found a bug- was playing as Manchukuo because I'm a masochist, and got the event for taking...Karbala? I think it was Karbala. A holy city, in any case. Fix this when you have time? Pretty confusing.

@Zorzagar Good News my Friend! I found a great way to integrate King Reza as a modifier per on_actions command when you change your government to democratic/fascist/communist and added a portrait for him! Please see at the screenshot I have included you will see it is the fascist party with the fascist Leader but King Reza is now here as a glorious modifier! He gives you a nice +5%stability and +50% Ideology Drift Defense. I just updated again. Enjoy!

@AeneasXI Ah, thank you for the reply! That'd be totally awesome if you did that! It would be nice to have King Reza around while still going down a more democratic route

@Sicarius Tech update is out! Most give now -2y ahead of time and +100% bonus or like -1y ahead and 2 100% bonus etc!

@Zorzagar it is a normal democracy right now, but what I could do is maybe include King Reza as modifier portrait like the UK has their King! I will look into if and how I can do that!

SUMKA doesn't seem to have its proper leader, and when you hover over it in the politics screen the extended localization is also not correct

is the Democratic option in the focus tree a constitutional monarchy or just straight up democracy ?

Glad to see this mod rising from the ashes, GJ man. The only thig bothering me is the research bonuses the focus give are still pre MtG (+50 % Bonus). Do you think you can update them too (-2y ahead of time and +100% bonus) ? It would be awesome because it makes catching up in tech with majors kinda hard

So glad to see this being worked on! If it's any help to you, I made a Western Oil Resources mod on the workshop that assigns the resources of Middle Eastern countries to Western Nations. In exchange, the ME nations get some factory perks BUT importantly also get spirits that create fascism drift.

Alright here you go guys updates are out I added a few things, fixed a few, etc now I am done for the night ^^ have fun!

@jon_kaplan22 sorry to say but they are not compatible. They are modifying so many of the same files that I can't do anything about it sadly. The only thing that could be done is release a new seperate compatibility mod.

@jon_kaplan22 this is a very good question indeed I will look into if it is compatible. If it is not I will try to see if I can make it so. Stay tuned.

@Womanizer I uploaded a hotfix update as I've found the issue with the ideologies. The fascist party was called nazism in the file but it should be called fascism. (Was this never an issue before?) You should now properly see party popularity and it should change accordingly! As for that research focus could you please tell me which focus you mean exactly? Theres alot of foci that give research speed!

for me the mod seems to still have a problem, there's a focus that is supposed to give research speed but gives nothing, all party's popularity is set to 0 and doesn't go up so I can't change ideology of anything

I just found out about this mod recently as it was suggested to me as the "best mod" in the forums but said it ain't working anymore and since I know how to mod and it looked like a really nice mod I promised to release a working version if I bring it to run for 1.9.2 so here it is! : ) Yeah I'd appreciate Bugreports thank you! : )

There was another modder here that had an Iran national tree, and it was centered around King Reza Pahlavi, but the dude pulled it down.
oh well once I get enough time I might do it myself

With him as Advisor you can keep Unaligned ideology high and keep King Reza! I might include the mod into this one!
