Keep at that level guide and look at all the maps files from every level to see how everything is setup n how it works to make it way easier when it comes to making map number 3/4/5 n 6 etc
Might take a month or two but you'll get the hang of the level editor.
Most important thing is to take your sweet time n have fun.
Every time ya start the editor you invent something new you never thought would work n it's lots of fun:)
anyway i will test it to make sure map is ok n will let ya know whats happening/how to fix it up etc
even my maps bug out in some pretty strange ways n takes a while to fix it=the usual new map has teething problems=even the devs maps when a new one happens us janitors always find a way to break the game lol
funny enough i like em better than the yellow bins
perhaps bigger metal bins will help
I hate the horror metal bin XD
Sometimes when you walk slow or carring something, there's like a step entering the elevator from the ground floor, it stop you or get caught in the "ultra speed mini jump" glitch XD
Maybe there's a mini gap or a leftover of a mesh in the elevator door area.
Yeah i'm a nitpicker, sorry XD
I went with killnearestnonmess and killnearestmess but i deleted the welder XD
i ended up demoted with 80% completion
(TF) Sabotage can use the stuff and settings in this level to help it be easier when making another level=anyone can start making maps if look at blackeagles level guide but to start on a 1st/2nd map can be rather difficult to get ya head around the guide as well as using the editor as well as a little stressful when ya put it on workshop!
not to worry just look at every map in the level editor to see how everything works n soon ya will get the hang of it=never give up
to fix that=world properties put kill in search bar n put something like -2000 in killz propeties=at least 1000 less than the number it has before you change it
I had several invisible nonmess signal in the main saloon, probably some acid scorch glitched into the floor.=killz could be causing that=if smash acid on the floor test that welder can fix the acid burns on the salon floor
and ill update the screenshots now
Check the "WakeOnSpawn" flag in the corpse and objects in your map, so they don't float in air but they physic react as you start the game, lying correctly on the ground or else.
Obviously if you don't need particular poses, like i had with a couple of corpses in my maps.
The grinder had the "dispose" trigger maybe too big, as i got sucked in when i approached it.
I had several invisible nonmess signal in the main saloon, probably some acid scorch glitched into the floor.
The zkill it's at floor level, when i ghosted i die as i pass trought the floor, consider to move it way down.
I don't really like the bottels and vials leaving acid pool, but it's a personal matter after all.
Other than that it's a good map!
And refresh the workshop screenshots, as they are compeltely different from the actual map, that's much better than the images shown here!
tip of the year=concentrate on fine tuning in your two maps before ya end up with 8 maps to fine tune=wax on wax off=more polishing
helps in the long run
use your other map as a reference to the mymap info setup=saves time and reduces mistakes=
less updates n hot fixes
i take a look see
because of this, it wasn't possible to pick up some of the heads on that floor. i was able to destroy them with the lightsaber i brought into the level, but otherwise would not have been able to get rid of them. other than that issue, map was fine.
