Made a custom folder, sent the vpk there, unsubscribed (Doesn't matter if i'm subscribed or not) from this and there is no footsteps, just silence. snd_restart did not change anything.

It is working after update 1.5 to definitive. Just use custom folders in old style - vpk pushing and unsign in Steam.

It doesn't work, I put in the custom folder and typed snd_restart in the console, and it still doesn't work.

It's cool to have those sounds, but still, there's something off about them, they're not too loud, but their EQ is really shifred towards lows, i dunno, maybe for VR it's fine, or in HL:A the way of playing of footsteps is different, but here i had to shift EQ to make it more flat

362890 is the folder for Black Mesa, and the other number is the ID for the addon, which you can find in the URL of it's workshop page.

okay i miight sound dumb here but where does the file go to when i subscribe? i cant find it anywhere so i can move it to my custom folder

If you aren't hearing anything then yes, snd_restart might fix it. Otherwise I don't think you need to.

I've only ever used the game bar thing, so I'm not familiar with any other recording software.

But yeah, as Flaninty said, OBS Studio looks like a good option.

@Brain Dead, can you recommend a software to do the recording? Specially with a low-end PC?

I tried the Xbox Game Bar, but the app wouldn't let me record anything because my PC is too low end (at least to such software).
