Thank you :D Lifting large builds is always a bit annoying in this game. I put a lot of time into maintaining the MK88 and this with one I felt like it was simply not happening as the physics did not want to work for it with the newer updates.
Definitely not XD
Thank You :D
Thank you. It used to work much better. I stopped with cranes too for the same reason. I have one design I might release at some point but at the moment I am kind of frustrated with the game as a whole.
To bad the game doesn't handle it quiet well.
I stopped designing big cranes because i just got to frustrated with it but somehow you managed to pull trough.
It's definitely not made for it and unfortunately quite some time has passed since I have created this crane so bear with me. The following steps should get you to your desired result (I didnt say it was easy):
1. Disconnect the "APS" and "Drive BWD" Bool cables going from the setup assistant to the LPS chip
2. Open the Setup Assistant microcontroller and locate the top one of the two LUA scripts in it
3. Find the line "setuppos=input.getBool(11)" and replace it with "setuppos=true" this allows you to skip the positioning step with the map.
4.Connect a constant on signal to a blinker to the "APS on" input on the setup assistant and make the blinker be active for more than 2 seconds.
You probably want to give the magnets a constant on signal or fix the boom in place in a more permanent way.
I am sorry if this sounds very complicated but feel free to get back to me if you need any further help. Good Luck
@StrickerNova3778 - I did. Look in the images section of the workshop page
There are multiple reasons that could be causing this:
1. The Setup button on the touchscreen was accidentally pressed twice
2. The crane is not setup in a new world.
Try to set it up in a new game and make sure you follow the steps as in the setup tutorial video. The big magnets should not disconnect. (However. The magnets like to rotate without the boom connected to them due to bugs in the game. This should not effect the functionality of the crane though.)
Ty ;)

@Sir John J. Tremaine - Probably not because I don't see a reason to do so. The MK88 would basically work and look almost exactly the same but the work that would go into that project would be massive on the other hand.
@NTSFMagellan - Personally I prefer doing the smaller creations because they're less of a pain to detail (while keeping the quality) also the game has a lot of bugs concerning the handling of large creations. This crane has already been too big concerning these issues.
