for modding tools, i used the mod tools that are in the game files themselves, i forgot what it's called, but if you use that to add the relevant equip tags to the other mod, or this mod, that should fix your issue, since i can't put tags on this stuff for things that dont exist.
also i havent played or modded kenshi in like 5 years so i dont really remember anything.

The Alpha Boneyard Hound from UWE can equip the armor so you can get some use out of it

2 years later and i am running into the same problem lmao. Cant put these armors on my dogs. I am also running UWE so it is probably a mod conflict. Can I ask which application you use to open the mod files? I want to try and see what the issue is

oh, well, I basicly just use UWE, and cosmetic mods, mainly do to mod conflicting problems, but I am autisic and love dogs and want so bad to protect my bonedogs

that sounds like a mod conflict of some sort
the armour can be put on anything with specific tags, if you have a mod that touches the animals in the game, that would probably do it

granted, using this mod is risky to begin with, due to the glitch that can cause your pets to insta-die if hit so

I can only put it on a spider bot for some reson, I have tryed every pet I can buy so far and a small surcuraty bot is all I have been able to put any armor on

if anyone else encounters this glitch, please do report it to the bug report forums, as i dont really use animals in my game anymore, and it's outside of my ability to fix.

This mod actually does the opposite of keeping them safe, it makes them more likely to be 1-shot.

That has happened in the past with animal armors. This is a known bug with how armors work on animals. There was a Dire Wolf mod that had animal armor, which did the same thing.

I don't believe the author ever heard back from the devs about it either.

@crit happens i literally never heard of that happening ever, and this mod doesn't touch anything to do with damage dealth or blood.
i find it highly unlikely that it would be caused by my mod, but if it is, i wouldn't be able to fix it due to the sheer simplicity of the mod.
you might have a different mod, say.. 1 that adds weapons or 1 that changes 'difficulty' of the game that might be causing this.

I am getting a bug where on occasion my bonedog will get instantly killed by a sword strike due to dropping to -1558e10 blood and chest hp.

just stat changes, because i'm not known with blender and such modeling programms, and even if, i could, it would only be for the chest because of how armors work

Are there visuals or just stat changes?
