Yeah I don't see the option to change shells. The button isn't there for me, unlike the regular mortar. It seems to only take high-explosive shells right now.

@Rannic64 have you tried to see if you can select which shells are allowed in the auto-mortar itself like with the normal version?

Any way to force this to use the 81mm shells that regular mortars use in CE?
The 60mm shells just tickle unless someone catches a near point bank explosion.

Anyone knows how to make these a bit more accurate? They are shooting all over the place. I tried the in game def editior and changed it from 1 to 2 then to 99 and it doesnt seem to make much difference? I wasnt sure if it was based of CE so I even used the Binoclears, but they are still all over the place! :)

For those not sure, this seems to work fine in 1.3 -- issues described in comments below would appear to be mod conflicts/issues -- I have over 100+ mods installed, and these auto-mortars work just like they have for the years that I've been using them...

As the description mentions, make sure to install ED Enhanced Options -- this allows you to direct these mortars to 'hold fire', as well as 'set forced target' when 'hold fire' is deselected...

For those mentioning an issue about infinite ammo, you probably have another mod that is overwriting mortar-barrel health and/or mortar-shell capacity that is interfering with this mod. I recall having this issue myself a while back (can't recall the mod causing it, sorry), but after uninstalling it, this auto-mortar mod went back to normal, i.e. 21 shells per mortar in the clip...

appears things got broken agen...or is it just me they wanish for the moment the blueprint for them is finished ?

I'm not sure if its another mod causing some sort of soft incompatibility, but my auto mortars recently now have infinite ammo and don't need to be reloaded.

Loving the mod so far, but I noticed that either the description of the mortar is off, or running into a strange bug. It says that it can fire all types of shells, however I can't seem to load anything but standard HE shells. Am I missing something that would allow me to load other types of shells?

Actually I did see the mortars being loaded so that's great. A bin/magazine would still be nice.

It's a little disconcerting that the mortars need no ammo. Maybe adopt the nutripaste bin for the purpose?

Made some adjustments to work on 1.3. The reinforced barrels option added in 1.3 is cannot coexist with current ammunition feed method, so i did not apply it to auto-mortar.

It is difficult to add a new function implementation at the xml modding level, and I have no plans to adding content. Would be better someone create a new mod or to ask the VFE team to improve their auto-mortar of the VFE-Mechanoids mod.

Is there some way to set no fire zones? For example, I had an infestation appear in my barracks and a warehouse and my automortars destoryed my buildings.

Not working with 1.2. I think it has to do with the fact that royalty also has an auto mortar. The mortar does not shoot
