It doesn't work, the impassable disc signal at Teignmouth which protects the mainline from the loop won't change, you cannot request to pass and moving past it results in a spad.

Had a similar issue to pparnis, with no red progress. However after a save and resume, I moved very close to the signal until the red appeared. Otherwise, most enjoyable and apparently realistic. Thanks.

Very enjoyable. I am not very good at driving steam locos, but this one was OK. I drive with the F4 HUD, and it was difficult to see exactly where the Dawlish Warren up loop was, but I suppose I could have checked the 2D map. Nicely done, well done Harry!

Hi rudersak, I hugely appreciate your help and will definitely use it in future. I know what you mean when you say the dispatcher is a beast - I've picked up a few tricks but certainly have a lot to learn. All the best

The signal issue at Teignmouth is because the rake of wagons you are collecting are larger than the siding marker they are parked on.This causes big problems for the dispatcher ,all consist pickup and drop off lenghts need to be smaller than the siding markers. If you remove about 3 wagons you should find the signals will work. Also there is higher priority services approaching on the opposite line so you could get held from coupling to the wagons until these have passed. The trick here is to place a blocker engine with a lower priority then the player engine on the main line running in the same direction as these services. This blocker engine will stop and allow you to couple upto your wagons and get on your way before the arrival of the higher priority services.Try it for yourself and you will get the hang of how it works. The dispatcher is a beast and if you dont play by its rules it wont play ball.Hope this info is of some help.

Although this scenario is a bit on the short side. I found it to be well produced and quite realist.Well done and thanks for sharing it.

Hello again Harry,
Thought I would give this one more go, so stopped at 0.00 on the HUD, no red progress bar but was still 15 feet from the marker. Moved forward so I was 0 feet from the marker and up came the red progress bar, so I got the tick for this instruction. I estimate the marker is about 20 feet before the signal, which is about right.
Thanks for your help and an enjoyable scenario.
Best Regards,
Paul

Hi pjohnandlyns, as described in the description, there is a signalling issue in that area which is seemingly to do with the tracks. If you go into your game settings, you can disable passing a red signal ending the game :)

Hi pparnis, you must have not quite been on the marker. It must have been a matter of a few feet, though!

Tried to run this but could not get any further than the first "Stop at" instruction at the goods loop.

Route set into docks area but signals on left set for the "Down Main" (even though nothing in the area) so ground signal would not clear and could not "Crtl-Tab" for permission either. Tried to pass ground signal and got a "SPAD Game over".

Hi Harry,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I did stop at 0.00 miles at Dawlish Warren but did not get the slowly-filling red bar when stopped.
Best Regards,
Paul

Thanks all good with my run,( Learner ) enjoying the steam trains, thanks for sharing.

Hi pparnis,

I'm glad you enjoyed the run. At Dawlish Warren, you are expected to pull up quite close to the signal protecting the junction in order to stop at the destination marker I placed. In my two test runs, I managed to get a check mark for the instruction, but I'll certainly look into this soon.

In the future I will make sure to place the destination marker a little further from the signal, as it only requires any part of the train to be on it. This, however, is the only issue I could think off - did you have a slowly-filling red bar when stopped?

Hello again Harry,
Enjoyable scenario with the trusty Grange, she may be weathered but still pulls well.
Noticed the water was low so picked up 1500 gallons at Exminster troughs.
Finished at 09:55 with 220 psi on the gauge.
Only problem was I got a X for my stop at Dawlish Warren, waiting for the express to pass - tried twice with the same error. Looking at your instructions I cannot see a reason for this.
Never mind, still a good run,
Best Regards,
Paul
