Because no one can see what performance percentage or speed you've set for a "Go via", it is better for all if you set passing speed at 1 mph then no one can fail.

Hi Smithers, were you going fast enough? To complete a 'Go Via' you need to be going at 75% line speed
I passed Dawlish but I get a stupid cross
and it's incomplete!
Nice run along the Riviera in the trusty Castle, breathed a sigh of relief when my tender went from 300 to 2000 gallons at the troughs !
So much A.I. that I did not know where to look first. Wish I could have carried on to Penzance, as I did when I travelled on this train in 1958 (8 years old then) but was not old enough to appreciate the wonderful Castle class !
