So I guess that leaves two options. We can rename this as [old] and link through to your one from here, or I just pull your one and re-upload it here. Linking through to yours would leave you holding the reins in the future. I'll go with whichever you'd prefer.
The only overwrite is living_standard_utopian, removing the few lines that checked ethics.
So, would you like to be added as a colab to this mod?
If someone can confirm that the new version is working as intended, I'm happy to make you (Dotakiin) a contributer to this mod so the update can be rolled out directly to all subscribers, or if you'd prefer I can simply add a link to your version in the description.
I'm not playing Stellaris myself at the moment, so can't test.

I dont have Ethics and Civics Classic. Do you know what other mods might effect utopian abundance?
I think that'd need an entirely separate plugin specifically made specifically for Ethics and Civics Classic. It wouldn't be just a matter of doing a minor tweak in this mod. I'm not doing any Stellaris modding at the moment, but perhaps you could ask in the Ethics and Civics Classic board whether they're willing to make a plugin. It should be fairly trivial for someone who know's how the mod works.
Thanks for the confirmation.
If there are Multiple Species in your Empire, and you only allow one or a few to live in Utopian Abundance, the other Species should start getting Negative Ethics attraction (Unfair treatment, this should count double or even Triple for Slaves whom have to labour to exhaustion under basic subsistence so their masters can live in the lap of luxury, just think of historical precedents where that lead to a Violent Revolution)
If I feel inspired enough I might just take a dig and see if that can be done without overriding any more vanilla code. I reckon something could be done with the event system.
(If anything: Utopian Abundance should be available to any Ethos combination, and increase attraction to the governing Ethics for every population under Utopian Abundance) (After all: their current Government is giving so much care to its people, conversely: removing Utopian Abundance should give negative governing ethics attraction)
