i remember years ago the OG mod allows the fabric used to make the nano suit influence the armor values of the gear, is there a way for me to edit the mod and add it back for my own playthrough?

Shouldn't the "Mass Carried" limit also be increased? carry capacity only seems to work for local map carrying, and the packs don't really help for Caravans.

Where are you supposed to be able to get/craft the packs? I have checked crafting options so far and it isn't in the tailor, smithing, machining or advanced work bench.

@elvis Yes, you need a mod that removes the carry capacity. Perhaps you had another mod that did that previously (there are a few)

just threw all other mods away, just core, royality and ideology are loaded and the backpacks still do not work.

did now add 'Carry Capacity Fixed' and everything works. (pretty sure i never used that mod before)

Also have the problem with the backpacks not increasing carrying capacity. I do not use CE and it did work for me prior to 1.3 (the nanosuit does not increase it either) Will look through my other mods if I find something that might be to blame.

@DolBlathanna I believe CE already has their own backpacks and things, at least last I remember. I looked for this mod to add backpacks back in when I removed CE. If you're using CE you probably don't need a backpack mod.

@DolBlathanna Not sure what to say here. These are not CE compatible, or at least they have no specific patches for CE.
Second, the only thing they do is increasing the carry capacity. How that will behave depends on what mod you choose for removing the hard limit set by the game.

Doesn't work for me properly. I use CE and have some issues with these backpacks for a long time already. Used this mod a year ago, and now when i returned in rimworld for a couple of weeks I have the same problems. Some large backpacks just do not increase capacity at all, some of them increase only bulk and this happens with the same large backpacks. Small backpacks do not increase weight capacity, only bulk. Have those two mods for increasing bulk and weight limits you recommended and I've got only small changes which work from time to time, from one pawn to another. Because of these all carry capacity manipulations, a lot of other stuff have got broken. My pawns can't carry some materials or chunks, because their bulk in inventory is full, my drones from misc robot lag from time to time and stand on one place going to carry something, minions from rimworld of magic have got the same problem from one stuff to another.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the backpack doesn't seem to increase the carrying capacity at all of my pawns.

I'm not sure what values you'd consider appropriate, but would you consider tweaking the stats a bit, in terms of insulation and protection? I think a backpack of the right material could ward off a weak attack, as well as provide a bit of insulation both hot and cold by keeping some of the temperature off of you?

As of now, it's 3.6F/2C Insulation - Cold and that's all. Just a thought.

Backpacks should no longer look strange on some thin pawns when mods that change pawns apperence are used (for example facial stuff).
