i had that glitch too, i figured out it was a black mesa thing when you're looking at the gargantua through the glass

Uh...I'm not sure WHAT it is but the gargantua's textures are missing or something. It isn't purple, it's just grey.

The only real challenge is ensuring your explosives don't get pushed back towards you by their flamethrower attack

Gargs take about a dozen explosive weapon hits to die (give or take depending on the weapon) when made killable, take that as you will

I’m aware. I’m just unsure if that would restore the challenge of the original (considering you need an ungodly amount of explosives)

Power Up only at the moment, since killing the Garg there before turning on the power would introduce the most oddities (i.e phantom Garg roaring).

You can use the command in the description to make all other Gargs killable yourself

@classy houndeye: you can add ai_norebuildgraph 1 to autoexec.cfg or +ai_norebuildgraph 1 to launch parameters to prevent the message from appearing. Don't know if that will solve the issue, though.

there is a problem that i have no idea if fixed, its the AI NODEGRAPH issue and if you reenter map 1 (your forced to do this on map 2) the AI NODEGRAPH is messed and doesnt automatically load
