I know it's late, but I've confirmed that the current version of HelmLights functions as expected. Note that it installs into the helmet, not the EPP augment. It will probably not work with modded helmets without a patch.

Have you considered creating a version of this mod with the lights as augments? I really like the immersive feel of this, but I find that having augment slots on armor is too convenient to remove, even with combinable augments.

okay thanks, after using the mod I don't think it does so I just use vanilla helms that have the augment slot as much as possible not the end of the world.

Can't say I would know. I don't know what things FU messes with. If you want to give it a shot, backup your saves and try a headlamp. One quick note, headlamps will not work on any new helmet added by FU. I may make a patch for that in the future, but not for now.
