Really nice idea but it does not create a config file. Its good at crashing a server tho.

i think you are on to something here, if you want to blow us all away, make keys, say 20 different key models, then bound them to a sertain players steam 64 id so only that lets say key1 has the steam id of player 1 and he can only lock and unlock the doors he has used the key on and then make it so every player can have their own key and only lock and unlock their own doors

It can be really cool to have a key system like much car key, but for doors. You can loot random key, you can assign a unique key to a doors. After that, your key can be duplicate to a grinder. And having much config, for disable / enable raid, or modify the lockpick efficiency on lockpick doors with unique key

Hello everyone. Doors staying locked across restarts is now possible by configuring economy.xml.
What other features from PersistentDoors do you guys want?
Examples: Prevent doors being shot or punched open, Admin lockpick perma-lock...

well i hope a update will happen, this mod is great. it works as intended, just the crash logs are a flaw, im sure it isnt a easy fix but i wish ya luck on it

Been having a problem with using this mod and Survivor missions. Since the missions mod creates locked doors over time the server will be filled with random garages ect. that are perma locked

The crash logs are being generated because the mod author has made a mistake with the mod setup and doesn't get around correcting it.

The server has to create the config files for each door, since those are where the status info is stored.

this mod works great, but the crash log it makes is huge, is there a way for us to turn off the json from generating in the server folder for each door we lock with the admin key? i think that will stop the crash logs

You're right, there's a few features this mod does better than vanilla.

@Xamy. This mod does prevent people from shooting or punching open doors which the vanilla game does not have yet.

Although i still havent fixed the crashing that happens when you get lots of doors locked.
I have had alot on. You might want to configure it for admin locked doors only. Or just regularly clear the lock state directory.
Stay posted as i do plan to fix this mod.

Yes I read, I tried to disable PersistentDoors and use vanilla, but I couldn't get it to work, the server has the updated files, I checked all mpmission also ... Can you help me? Thanks

Looks like same crash is still there. Sadly found it again after re installing the mod to our server. Any update at all? Really sad, because the idea of the mod is brilliant and we really want it on our server.

I have arrived at 6428 saved ports, but with 1.08 and mods updates they force me to delete them if I want to start the server. My new record.

Anyway yo cut down on the log spam? My logs are multiple times larger because of the stuff that gets logged by this mod. Great mod by the way!!!

Enabling Open/Closed persistence for 1 day, (3x3hr restarts) rendered the server inoperable by the 4th restart, only way to fix was remove all entries for that time period and set door persistence to disabled. Hope this helps to fix this nasty issue.

Unfortunately I have to report that arrived at 3000 ports the server was unable to start, I had to delete the db and started on the first attempt.

I am now experiencing this crash on my server, so i should be able to work it out.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that doors are getting bagged on mapped (added to the map) buildings. When you lock the door after restart it still shows as locked, but you can't interract with the door using lock pick and can open it without unlocking. Same bag randomly appears rarely on buildings native to the map, but it allways desapears after restart. But it stays for ever on mapped (added to the map) buildings. Not sure if this can be fixed, but wanted to let you know. Thank you in advance if you will find the way to fix this.

Strange, we have different experiences, it did not give me loading times as long as yours, to me 4000/5000 doors in ~ 5 minutes, but with crash risk. I had also thought about disabling the persistence of unlocked doors, but then what remains of the functionality of the mod... Only options of not forcing the door closed with firearms? I don't know, of course it is that having the server down at every reboot is too big problem for me, and since MoreDoore there is still an alternative to this need, too bad for the persistence that I like very much. Maybe I'll try again.

i have also some problems
with ~ 2000 saved doors the server restart time was >10 minutes
with ~ 4000 saved doors the server restart time was >15 minutes
and now with over 6000 saved doors the server restart time was more than 30 minutes!!!

Hey folks, does PersistentDoors trouble just me?
I had a period of up to almost 5000 ports without problems, now in the last week every 1000-2000 ports I have to wipe the ports because the server won't start. 6 hours with the server down while I was sleeping wtf!

4750 doors saved, the server fails to start, with wipe the ports the server started on the first attempt. If you need I keep all the json and the log files.

For several months I have happily used the mod, I saw that in certain situations, with 4000+ ports saved, server boot problems were created, today it happened to me with 1200 ... Then I come to report you, I hope it can help you and that soon you will find a cure and maybe even some good news.

HI Weyland. Could you please zip em up and put them somewhere i can get at?
I will take a look this weekend. Basically at server start Persistent Doors reads all those files and updates every door it has state for. Apparantly, once that hit a certain number of doors crashes are generated. I think i just need to slow down the process, or possibly store one building per file not one door per file. Either way, now i have some files to reproduce it, i should be able to figure something out.

Yeah, I get a crash log every server cycle with notifications about this mod too. The server isn't crashing, it's just generating crash logs.
