Hey uh... OS/2 was made by Microsoft and became Windows NT after the contract fell through.

I think the main reason it's set that way is because the default PC manufacturer is Microsoft. I think we should split PC off to another company, maybe called OEMs.

I agree with the guy below. Chromebooks are lesser than Windows. Despite this, they do hold a minor place. Besides, if Microsoft goes bankrupt, someone else will pick up the pace. ReactOS is a great example of "Microsoft is braindead, someone else picks up the pace", in quite literally the most obvious fashion possible. It's still in alpha but it's a good example either way.

Not to mention Chromebooks < Windows, and are the best 2-in-1 Linux/Android systems!

I'm finding it difficult - and depressing - to think that PC availability has anything to do with the death of Microsoft. Take a quick search for FerrenOS, System76, or SalientOS/Manjaro. Basically - the only thing keeping "Everyday desktop Linux" from taking over is the lack of marketing/PR and the lemming mindset to develop for windows....

Then again - Lemmings ARE the marketplace. I could be wrong about everyone having more then two brain-cells and actually LOOKing for alternatives.

I also believe I've found two errors: The Game Boy is called the Game Boy DS and the Game Boy Advance is called the Game Boy Color.

Pretty sure companies can issue takedown notices if you use their logos or name without consent.

It has nothing to do with copyright. The names of companies are trademarks, and a trademark is only protected within the same general markets that a company uses it in. More importantly, trademarks are protected for the sake of the consumer when there's reasonable likelihood of confusion about the source of a product.
i.e. I can't release a smartphone and call it iPhone21 because that'll likely cause confusion that it came from Apple; but Wendy's can trash talk a Chick-fil-A sandwich in commercials because no one's going to think Chick-fil-A aired that commercial.

@Monopoco Basically the way it works is that the base game can be at risk if they use real copyrighted names without getting a licensing deal and paying for the privilege. Modders aren't selling anything, so it's pretty much always up to modders to made these mods for us! On that note, thank you ReCon!
