Real Manufacturers and Platforms

描述
This mod renames all the manufacturers and platforms (as many as exist in real life anyway) to their real counterparts.
This will also make it so that Microsoft can't go bankrupt because if Microsoft goes bankrupt then the PC platform becomes unavailable and as if that will ever happen in real life.

Compatability: Should work with everything as long as it doesn't modify the display value of the default manufacturers and platforms.

Note that if you use a mod that adds new manufacturers or platforms then you may end up with multiples with the same name. For example, the mod "+++ Mod" from Dawn adds "Microsoft" and my mod renames the original "HardMacro" to "Microsoft" so you will then end up with two Microsoft manufacturers.

the best part about this is that sony seems to always go bankrupt in this which means no more japan economy

Hey uh... OS/2 was made by Microsoft and became Windows NT after the contract fell through.

I think the main reason it's set that way is because the default PC manufacturer is Microsoft. I think we should split PC off to another company, maybe called OEMs.

I agree with the guy below. Chromebooks are lesser than Windows. Despite this, they do hold a minor place. Besides, if Microsoft goes bankrupt, someone else will pick up the pace. ReactOS is a great example of "Microsoft is braindead, someone else picks up the pace", in quite literally the most obvious fashion possible. It's still in alpha but it's a good example either way.

Soo.. Google should never go bankrupt considering their sheer scale worldwide and all the products and services they offer xD

Agreed. There were serious OS contenders to Windows back in the days, like IBM's OS/2.

I'm finding it difficult - and depressing - to think that PC availability has anything to do with the death of Microsoft. Take a quick search for FerrenOS, System76, or SalientOS/Manjaro. Basically - the only thing keeping "Everyday desktop Linux" from taking over is the lack of marketing/PR and the lemming mindset to develop for windows....

Then again - Lemmings ARE the marketplace. I could be wrong about everyone having more then two brain-cells and actually LOOKing for alternatives.

I also believe I've found two errors: The Game Boy is called the Game Boy DS and the Game Boy Advance is called the Game Boy Color.

Pretty sure companies can issue takedown notices if you use their logos or name without consent.
