No it's still the same after reinstalling it.
I think it's something on my side that broke.
any idea on how to delete a mod from the launcher? I'm guessing that will fix it.

I tried to update the mod but I wouldn't so I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now I have both the 1.1 and 1.2 versions
when I tried to install the 1.2 version it just installs the 1.1 version instead.
what's going on and how do I delete the old version?

Should be fixed as of now, hopefully! Haven't been able to test it but I think it was just a missing folder in the updated .zip file.

Yeah so I've been trying to get this mod to work every time I start playing, for the last two years. Finally figured out the issue.

The mod file is thrown into the mods folder a a .zip. The modding tools don't recognize it. They also won't pick it up manually either, saying it's not a mod file. Further, the folder cannot be extracted or dumped either, throwing an error every time it is attempted.

Thank you very much. I reinstalled the whole community package - i suspect that i did something wrong. I will see how it works in the next battle

@Couberstein It sure does! Made sure to test that before releasing. However, if you had an existing Ground Combat mission, all the reapers that were already in play will be old reapers. However, any new ones that pop out of zombies will be my mod's neutered versions.

@Tornado Nick Check out the link in the description, there is now an alternate version restoring the SpawnReaper ability but retaining Permadeath. Enjoy!

Make sure to disable this version if you switch to the alternate version.

Good mod all around, but I think removing the ability for a normal Reaper to create more reapers through zombies is a bit too much of a nerf and completely negates the point of the enemy - otherwise, good changes that should have been in place in the game by default!

What a good mod i think. I hate Reapers SO MUCH... They were annoying by this insta-kill ability and that the zombies turns into Reaper after killing it.

@xtrem_jul I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking. It's fairly easy to tweak, regardless.
If you're asking how to tweak normal zombies to spawn Reapers after 3 turns unless you kill them, here's how:

Navigate to Reaper Rebalance (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Xenonauts\assets\mods\Reaper Rebalance)

Open up AIprops.xml with any text editor

You'll see 4 zombie sections listed first, those are the ones you'll be editing.

Add the following line to <props> between Bravery="100" and CrouchDisabled="1"

Abilities="SpawnReaper.Reaper.Reaper.3,Permadeath"

The zombie and zombiealpha listing are duplicated 4 times for the 4 different looks they can have depending on the armor of the killed soldier, you'll want to do this for all 4 normal zombie listings. (The first 4 listed)

Thanks! it was the only enemie that felt odd in my playtrough. Would it be hard for me to tweak it to have normal reaper spawn normal reaper ability but with the same 3 turn permadeath?

@Sage Yes it does work, it will overwrite any reapers that spawn after installing it without causing issues. If you load a GC save that had the old reapers, the reapers and the zombies that already existed in that specific GC mission will still be the old reapers and zombies, but those will be the last ones you will ever see.

I'm glad to see a mod like this. Reaper insta-kills were always really annoying.
