just a suggestion; no offense :)
I hope that your mod will grow in size and functionality, nowadays few people make good and great fashion.
-I'll definitely be looking into making some (read: many) of the outlines less harsh.
-I will not be adding or taking away the outlines themselves from any of the sprites. The outlines are very important in "shaping" the objects. Not trying to be like "trust me I'm an artist" here, but trust me I'm an artist.
-I could go either way on the shading. I probably will edit the shading on some of them as the need arises but starbound's art style tends to follow the "bold shading has to really mean something" rule, which is part of why I love it so much and why I need to recolor the outlines.
I was really happy with the sprites when I initially made them, but seeing them in-game has definitely helped me realize there's more to do. I think the future update will improve things a lot.
Although, this is just some constructive criticism. I just really liked the concept of this mod and wanted to make a suggestion. If you've read all the way through, thank you, and have a good day!
But if I could say something about the sprites really quick--they're good, but don't seem to meld into the environment all too well. The user below me, warmainiac, pointed this out, but I think that highlights aren't really the thing that's affecting the sprites.
I think that it's more a lack of shading (like on the rubber duck), a lack of dark outlining (like on the cutting board with the apples and the book stacks), and a lack of "colorful" outlining. To get what I mean, I'll use the Grand Avian Sarcophagus (of which an image of is found here: https://starbounder.org/mediawiki/images/d/d5/Grand_Avian_Sarcophagus.png) .
