for those having issues, i have found a fix. this does delete all of your configurations for this mod, though.

find gmod in your library and click on browse local files

navigate to "garrysmod/data/painsounds" and delete all three .txt files

you're done

it worked good, then suddenly started showing me error, and doesn't play any sounds anymore. I never installed any other mod after this one, and reinstalling this mod doesn't fix it

Tried it out. Doesn't swap over pain sounds at all with any of the preloaded stuff. Only time it works is when I used it on a model I got from the workshop.

the entire settings page is just gone and refuses to load when clicked, and because of that the entire thing broke. is it because im using the 64 bit version of gmod?

if you can't find 'garrysmod/sound' folder then just create it, and add files in .wav format. it works

you need to remove the death sound by getting an addon that removes it so you can have the pain sound instead

why this add-on not functional anymore it bugged a lot and i checked every single add-ons nothing conflict with this it cause error by itself

you should add the counter strike hurt sounds for the counter strike playermodels

If you are changing the voice through "Client settings", make sure "Allow player override" is turned on in the Server settings first.

For some reason it's the defaultmale voice every time despite changing it in the settings.

To add custom sounds, you have to make sure the sounds have the project rate of 44100. Edit the sound using Audacity and if it's not 44100 in the project Rate, put it to that and mix and render. Nothing more, nor less than that project rate. That's how I get all my custom sounds for my favorite playermodels. I have so much custom sounds for my parts.
