Currently toggled both off, as it makes my core-units, that are already slow crawl like turtles. (Kush + Suebi campaign)
DeI 1.34 works for me just fine. Rather have it on demand, if needed, even spear or phalanx units can flank without fixed formation.

Seems to be an inconsistent problem.
I have an issue where the pike units don´t go into a formation, and if attacked, they use swords.
I moved the mod above DEI, still persists.
May be buged, not sure, just thought I would write it here.
I would like to know if you can make the same version of your mod with the same stats but with keeping the historical behaviour of the phalangites in combat, like in the vanilla ?

I had a weird bug with the Suebi today. The Markamannoz Speutagardaz (Markamannoz Pikemen) unit I had placed suddenly turned 90 degrees during an engagement.
Hoplites my friend was using did not turn.
I am using both your Hoplite and Phalanx mod. They are loaded before Die though not directly (Settler and Hardcore mod is inbetween).
There is no mod that should affect battle gameplay apart from your and Die.
Me with 812 troops 1 phalanx 2 spear vs 1150 enemy troops, general spear, archer, slinger, and 2 swordys.
In my experiment with your mod i did horrible results with my general dying and losing 461 troops barely wining, due to the lack of proper pike properties as standing ground.
Without your mod i lost 350 troops, and my gen wasnt killed and i tried the same tactics and paths.
So i ran multiple experiments like this and i can say as conclussion that your mod is not bad, and animations are cool, but even with the buffs to proyectiles and stuff they are not even close to vanilla if properly managed, so i would suggest to buff even more this stats and try this experiments on your own.
