Despite the last pushed update being in July 2021, this mod seems to work for me so far on the latest March 2025 update.

The insulated hydroponic farm tile, does not cost the same materials as hydroponic farm tile. This causes an unblalance in the game please fix this.

The Cosmic Calling update has broken this mod. Based on the error log it looks like the same issue that broke a few other mods. Quoting from someone on another mod page, "Super easy to fix, just remove the .isSolidTile line from the class where you make your BuildingDef. Today's update deprecated that property."

Mod is now crashing in vanilla without DLC purchased.

Yesterday's update seems to cause a fatal crash upon launching the game.

Strangely, the game doesn't even seem to register that the mod was loaded when it crashed.

@saavedra and @ElitistMadman - I don't take bug reports here, see my description for how to file a bug. I've tested this more than once and cannot duplicate what you are describing. It works exactly as I expect in my testing.

I'd suggest using this mod to make sure you have the latest version, Steam has issues sometimes ensuring your system has the right version:

If you update and still have problems, go through GutHub as described in the description, I'd want to see screenshots showing what you're experiencing. I'd also maybe want to try your save. I'd also want to know what other mods you're using, I don't think it's probable that another mod is doing this but it's definitely possible.

Doesn't stop the movement of cold anymore

The mod runs with the new update but I'm pretty sure the insulation effect is gone. I built an insulated wheezewort icebox on top of my base to cool some pipes going through, but now the cold is directly seeping through the "insulated" farm tiles down into my base.

To all interested: Klei released a beta (test) branch today. The current working version of Insulated Farm Tiles failed on that branch. I have a local version working and ready to be uploaded once the new stuff hits the non-beta branch. Hopefully Steam cooperates and updates go smooth this go around ...

@Zairya: Yeah, if there's other uses for these, great, but they were made for wheezeworts. Sorry they don't accommodate your desire but they're doing what they were meant to ...

I'm a bit confused about this mod. Sure, it's helpful for whezeworts but I was looking for a farm tile, which lets me grow mealwood in 30°C+ enviroments... I tried pumping cold water through the tiles to cool them since atleast before release, body temp seemed to be calculated by the farm plot temp... it wasn't really working and I can't dump cold air on them because the dreckos will get unhappy...

Since I've been using this and it's been working great so far, being able to make clean looking rooms without double layering walls or using vacuum rooms is great. One thing I'm wondering is, would it be possible to make something similar to this but for conductive wall joints?

@Anyone having trouble with mod version, this is a Steam issue, it has nothing to do with ONI or any mods. I had to uninstall and reinstall ONI to get one mod I use to update, nothing else worked for me and I can't guarantee it will fix your problem but it's the only thing I can recommend.

@Brambor, regular Insulated Tiles take twice the resources as regular Tiles, my Insulated Farm Tiles take twice the resources as regular Farm Tiles. I won't change this. I will however look into making it take longer to build. Currently it's 30% or so longer but looking at the other tiles it's a far bigger difference. I'll play around with it and see how it feels.

I cant use this mod... :/ Crash the time i open the game. Tried to sub and unsub, and manual delete the folder of mod to install again, and nothing worked.

After unsubscribing and resubscribing it not works perfectly

Just stumbled upon this mod. I recomend making the insulated version longer to build and require 3 to 4 times more resources. This would be consistend with insulated tiles and insulated pipes.

It seem to not have been done since there is "They both take 200kg of the same materials as needed for regular Insulated Tiles." in the mod description of purpose.

the game says errors occurred when this mod is active, nees a fix please

it's weird, the mod doesn't update by itself it instead shows versions 0.0.0.0 instead of 1.0.1.0
I tried to reinstall, but it doesn't work

Quick update:
I've got Insulated Farm Tiles working kinda locally, hope to release the fix ASAP. Klei changed how mods handle animations so any mod that adds their own animations is broken, not sure why the icebox mod works. I've got the anim stuff in the right places and the mod loads fine. The new tiles show in the right research and in the food build menu. They can be built fine. Only issue is that any existing Insulated Farm/Hydroponic Tiles already placed in a save ... well they aren't Far/Hydroponic tiles, they're natural blocks of whatever material they were made from. Pretty funny to see a natural ceramic tile :P

Looking into this. There were some changes in today's update that I am researching/testing a fix for. Please be patient :)

There seems to be some secretive ONI update which prevents IFT from loading :(
