I'd really like if it was possible to select multiple variants for ship-slots in shipstyle-creation and then set some tech as requirement for each (except one) ...
What you said made me think I overlooked some loophole that would make something similar possible, but seems it was just a misunderstanding - will have to continue to hope for the Devs doing something like that then... :/ (not your fault obviously)
Eg: Replace Civ Frigate with D7, and add the K'T'inga class refit, the to Vor'cha to follow that etc, with the advancement of technology.
You would have to decide when to replace the ship and mothball the older types during the game. Each type of model would be added to the Civ as an entire collection.
The question was more about where in your timeline it is...
I guess it's a contemporary of the Sovereign-class, considering the nacelle-design?
( in whichever universe... in the main mirror-universe, the TE doesn't exist at this point anymore, as far as I know - not that I'd consider this a problem, though )
