I'd really like if it was possible to select multiple variants for ship-slots in shipstyle-creation and then set some tech as requirement for each (except one) ...

What you said made me think I overlooked some loophole that would make something similar possible, but seems it was just a misunderstanding - will have to continue to hope for the Devs doing something like that then... :/ (not your fault obviously)

When making Civ, each ship has its basic roll, eg: Tiny Sniper, Guardian, Frigate etc that you replace with your ship design, but also have newer ships to replace the one you start with in the downloaded Civ.

Eg: Replace Civ Frigate with D7, and add the K'T'inga class refit, the to Vor'cha to follow that etc, with the advancement of technology.

You would have to decide when to replace the ship and mothball the older types during the game. Each type of model would be added to the Civ as an entire collection.

lol, I have no idea yet, its all a WIP. I will be using both new and old. Older ships will get refits. I was just giving you an idea of where I am going with this. Also, I have been chewing on the idea to have old style ships you start with and including the upgraded version which will probably need 4 or more of the same evolving ships. Makes it a huge project and still unsure if I will bother.

That it's no standard timeline I already guessed - and stated to be no problem. :)

Thanks although this is part of my own timeline. This allows me to experiment and design or redesign new ships, star bases, history, etc. For the Federation this is leaning more toward the Andorian than the Vulkan influences, making the Federation more tactical, supporting more Vengeance class type ships and more of a section 31 presence.

I guess it's a contemporary of the Sovereign-class, considering the nacelle-design?
( in whichever universe... in the main mirror-universe, the TE doesn't exist at this point anymore, as far as I know - not that I'd consider this a problem, though )
