Weird,I we never had issues with connecting the tender,try checking if the connectors are on, and if the tender is place the right way.

@Blacknoel,no it's not a class A1(I actually did not know this class lol),It's a fictional locomotive inspired of Class A3(Flying scotsman),JNR class D51 and some of my imagination and other locomotives)).@RandomUserMayo,yes I could do another steam train and use the BR 53 for some inspiration)).
