Yup I would say 99% chance yes although for that 1% I'd say don't do it in the middle of a mission with Archon's present but I can't imagine anything bad would happen.

Would you know how one can get this to work with "playable aliens for LWOTC" ? Did some testing and can confirm that when a Archon is recruited only the old male version spawns.
Also is there a way to make only the new female version spawn in both instances.

I cleared my config I think, don't think it did anything n had to revalidate. I removed ABA and the old class mods I recently and the staffs for archons seem to be back though the archon I saw was a mod added melee one which comes with its own weapon so that might mean nothing to the problem at hand.

Mod worked just fine for me. I didn't face the issue mentioned on pod activation cinematics. I loaded a save mid-battle and the "female" archon returned to default archon though. No big deal. Nice lil cosmetic mod, regarding enemy variance. Thanks.

I'm happy to report removing Ragdoll improved my overall PC performance and made this work also. It wasn't worth the cost.

If those mods are attempting to replace the model of the Archon or anything like that it's possible it wouldn't work together.

Enhanced Ragdoll Physics and FX replaces models and wouldn't be compatible.

This mod just does nothing for me, they don't appear. I'm using Ragdoll and FX.

@Dragon32 I'd like them appear as pods not from the eggs. [WOTC] Enhanced Ragdoll Physics and FX requires zip mode to be off which slows down the game.

A good mod but it honestly doesn't really go well with using other enemy mods since some of the improvements don't carry over to them.

There isn't anything like that, this is the same method that World War Lost uses for their lost and how the base game Advent uses for their genders

(A point that I read on Discord is that it's actually quite likely this happens in the base game with them as well but nobody notices because female Advent are extremely similar to the male ones.)

A small bug I found is that during the pod activation cinematic it seems that sometimes the archons will switch sex, a male archon will appear as female when activated then suddenly switch back to male and vice versa

Well the Valk here is the only one that really fits for the "other gender" type mods

There isn't really anything for Vipers (it would break lore for them anyways) Mutons (The Berserkers are female), Sectoids, etc

I did clear my configs and I was still getting the same issue, I could only uninstall it. Sorry can't give any more info for that to help out. Could be a mod compatibility issue maybe? I use so many mods though it wouldn't be feasible to check for conflicts one by one.

I don't understand why this mod would cause such an issue.

This doesn't touch weapons, it doesn't even create a "new enemy" per say.

I don't have this issue myself but I'll ask around.
