The MOD is NOT compatible to game version 1.37 and higher.
I used one (or maybe two ;) ) soundfile of your NH220/NH275. Its the exterior exhaust sound at about 1.900 rpm. :)
It's cool if you did. I'm just curious :)
The same technology is used by PACCAR in the MX13 range of engines where-as it's a single engine that caters from 480hp to 550hp (available here now in 12-volt form) with only the computer 'tune' being the only difference between the engines.
Regarding diff ratios (final-drive ratios), here in Oz, as we have a 'blanket' 100km/h speed limit for heavy vehicles, most of the rigs here use a diff ratio of between 3.90 and 4.11 which will have the engine spinning at around 1500rpm @ 100km/h.
Vielen Dank für diesen genialen Sound Mod. Klingt echt klasse und hat mich nach etlicher Zeit mal motiviert, ein 13 Gang Getriebe zu nutzen.
P.S. Die Maschine macht sich super in einen Peterbilt.
Todays computers are fully progammable via a laptop and NO parts are replaced or 'chipped', the correct term is a computer 're-map' as the computer parameters are 're-mapped' to change the engine performance.
In the case of a Cummins X15 (or ISX15), there is no difference between a 450hp engine and a 600hp engine. Both engines use identical internals, heads, turbos and injectors, the only difference is the computer 'mapping'.
Here in Australia, the X15 (or ISX15) is 'capped' at 600hp/2050ft-lb from the factory, however, once the engine has 'loosened up' after 50,000km or so, it can be taken out to 620hp/2250ft-lb with nothing more than a 're-map' of the computer ... and still covered by Cummins warranty.
