From what citizens say, it's likely a very poor quality MRE. On one side of the package, it has a line of text describing what it contains. It says "MENU #3 1 COMPLETE MEAL, READY-TO-EAT Net. WI 13.3 oz 1376g CONTAINS: BEEF STEW, CRACKERS, SYNTHETIC STRAWBERRY, JAM." It says this in the Half-Life Wiki.
