I can see it from her point of view, I can get why she did what she did and in her situation, you'd probably do what she did.
I also get the argument that the other club members are AI, not really alive so killing them isn't too bad, right?
Monika's an AI too though, but she got her epiphany and realized what she is. The other girls could've had that same realization but they didn't get to because they're dead. Is that not the equivalent of like, murdering somebody in a coma or something? Knowing that, it's still pretty screwed up and doesn't make her actions any better.
I don't think she's necessarily evil, but I don't think she's innocent either.
Imagine being from her point of view. You realize that your world is a simulation and is not real.
And the only real human contact you can make is with the person playing the game.
If you were to not oof the other club members who are AI to get to the player. You would forever be alone and you should know what being alone forever will do to you mentally.
If she is guilty of killing AI programmed characters. Then so are you because you probably killed lots of NPCs in GTA and CoD and such.
She is not a villain. And that's a objective fact. In fact she is actually a morally good person.
