No worries, I'm happy you took it for what it was: feedback.

Some people get a little defensive, when most times if the person takes time to give feedback it means they like it and want it to gain more recognition.

As for balance, it's fine if you don't want to mess with it. It is your mod after all, not mine. It was just some suggestions and I fully respect whatever vision you have for it.

However, I was referring to minor reductions in knockback for shotguns. Too much would destroy the utility of the weapon since the damage it inflicts feels right, but the knockback felt a bit extreme to me and I noticed starting AI struggle against shotgun survivors early game.

As a human you can learn to flank the cone attack of the shotgun, but the AI? Not so much lol. This often gets them boxed in and lagging behind in the early game.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I will improve AI in general in next updates. About balance I am not so sure, as I prefer to check it on multiplayer matches and make changes based on player experience instead of AI behavior, as players tend to identifiy and exploit OP features.

Ran out of space.

A lot of the balancing issues could be solved by reducing knockback on units a little, the biggest offender being the shotgun. Sometimes even the AI get boxed in if survivors spawn outside their base and it really is down to the shotgun. Basically, most of my issues came from knockback effects. That's why the Mech hero for PCC is a little out of whack, he has both melee and ranged knockback.

Otherwise the only real bug I encountered was the zombie faction being idle.

To finish up it's still a very good mod and you can see the passion that went into this. It just needs some adjusting.

I sunk a few hours into this and it was fun, but there are a few issues.

The Zombie faction never seems to attack or build up forces in skirmish. Playing as them they're kind of weak until you get an upgrade, even then fumigators and shotgun/grenade units absolutely murder them.

The PCC faction is over-tuned. If you pick them you can dominate the map easily, against them...good luck, you'll need it. They can out-range anything and their Mech hero is too strong (knockback from range grenades and the melee stomp, sturdy and high dps with machine gun.)

I actually let the AI play as PCC team mate but I just watched. It took over the entire map with ease and crushed the other 2 AI with ease. The only trouble they had was with survivors blocking their base at game start, after that bump they never lost a single unit for the rest of the match.

Is there something wrong with the infected side in the survival mode? They never seem to launch any attacks unless I have my troops near their spawn.

@ceilingfan - playing other mods where arty is long range, best way to deal is to send weak units first for the arty to target, and faster units to counter it.

Technology tree is made to reduce monotony on the game, so every time you pla with a faction you can try new units and technologies, that is why You cannot unlock every technology. On the other side, A230 artillery guns are stationary turrets weak against siege units, their range might be annoying but the best defense against it is an offensive.

I can't unlock every technology, which is sad because having no access to other units and buildings makes the mod less fun

Survival mode requires AI as player 2 (red), if you add AIs on other player slots you should not unless ou want allies. Map includes instructions to play.

im picking survival and started fighting against scavengers, bruh

Can you create a starting unit set that only has the zombie faction so that in skirmish you get a bit more control over which AI players will be infected faction? Doesnt matter so much for human factions but itd be cool if you could get a bit more control of where zombies will be on a map

plus the zombies dont seem to have anti aircraft of any sort, at least ive never seen the survival mode ones build any, meaning that a fleet of drones can just easily win

the survival mode zombies seem to have an issue with the protectors walls and water, with the walls they seem to just run into them without attacking them, and with water if you set up a tiny base on an island the zombies will try and path find there and just get stuck running at water

I do not plan to change how it works as the point of making it single use is adding an additional feeling of survival.

Ah, right. That makes sense.
Simplifying the resource system will allow players to focus more on playing the game rather than playing "resource finding simulator." I can respect that change. Kudos my man.

P.S.
I wanted to know if you plan to change how items work in the mod. As it is now, when I am controlling a group of units and equip collected items, it seems that only one of them actually recieves the benefits while the rest don't get buffed. Thanks again my dude, You and your mod rock!

It is a bug I will fix as soon as possible.

About the resource changes, I was looking for a way to make the game a survival game, so I had to bring a greater importance to every unit, allowing you to micro them by making them more resistant. The use of a metal resource was out of sense as well, so I merged it with the Wood to make just materials. The point of the changes was making you feel you are surviving while playing a RTS game.

when playing the bandits, the supply limit doesn't show the right amount. i can always have way more troops than whatthe supply limit shows.

Hey dev, just wanted to ask, do you plan on updating the mod even further?
Its one heck of a total conversion mod, usually I wouldn't care about my units in an ordinary match.
Now, everyone (and every building) I lose feels like a massive setback (which is a good thing)

Though I would like to ask why you made the changes pertaining to the resource management side of things. It kinda threw me off the first time I updated your mod to 2.1.1.

hey i think i found a bug in the mod. evry time when i send a Hero into vehicle (boat or apc etc) they just despawn and i also cant call them anymore.

I'm not seeing the game mode or new stuff in game. There is no Survival game mode. Am I missing something?
