As Devikat said, this mod is as simple as a mod can be.

There is going to be very little chance that it breaks after an update.

Just ignore the CA Mod Manager saying it is out of date (if anything, use Kaedrins mod manager instead)

So just in case anyone drops by this page and wants to know the end result of all the arguing about whether it is unstable due to the game patching.

The answer is 99% no, the mod changes exactly one line of campaign variables 'occupation_decision_colonise_soldiers_percentage_lost'
to 100 meaning you keep 100% of your army when colonising. Not once in 3 years have CA touched this variable so you are pretty safe to keep this subscribed.

This variable is linked to exactly 0 lords or map provinces or anything else that CA might change or add. This will only break if CA changes the variable name which I would rate as 0% risk.

T_T Who's complaining? I'm encouraging Norse to respond to his fans about updating a highly desired mod that would benefit not only from an update to avoid potential crashes mid-game but also to inform us of any changes made. This hasn't been updated in months, well past the last two patches. I have tried it myself but I don't want to get fu*cked up the ass mid-campaign.

Okay, so since Norse is apparently dead, is there anyone who is a fan of this mod and capable of updating it so everyone can enjoy it again. So long as the credit for originally making this mod goes to Norse and is disclaimed on it, there isn't any crime committed.

Not that AI being immune really matters. I literally just saw some dwarves recolonize some ruins right after attacking a nearby skaven army and they had full next turn when I went to attack them. The player might as well not take unit loss since the AI gets to avoid it randomly.

AI is already immune to this effect anyway.
Works fine, you've got another issue then, delete your launcher cache.

Hey all - just throwin in a weird bug I got too. Like TheHolyCowMan, installing the mod doesn't remove the colonization penalty, it increases it, dramatically. I'm playing on ultra unit size - and colonizing drops my units down to 7 guys after colonizing. Playing as Malakith.

Not running any huge overhaul mods or anything related to colonization.

It's likely a mod manager issue, this is a global variable used by all races.

That's not possible with the way I've set this up. Either you have launcher issues or another mod overwriting this one.

someon told me this in mod manager turn off all mods then start the game then when game loaded in on title screen exit to windows then start up again and renable all mods and it should work that how i got all mods to work again

Try using kaedrins mod manager, that usually bypasses the problems.

Would it be possibly to get a version that reduces instead of disables the troop loss? And/or a version that standardises the gold cost to 2500 no matter how big the army size colonising?
