This video first gives you a good look at the weapon itself. Because of course you wanna see what the actual weapon looks like.
Then while I'm picking up the gun you can see the draw once. So while at it, do it a few times over again to get a good look at that.
Next thing you do when picking up a gun is obviously walk around, so you can take a good look at the idle and walk cycle animations.
And we shoot guns at the shooting range. So we walk there. But on the way there's another opportunity to actually use the shove animation, so we might as well use that.
Finally, once you actually walked to the range, you shoot the gun.
That's called "Natural progression". I'm sorry your instant gratification rotted ADHD brain can't handle a video where it doesn't immediately start with shooting the entire mag empty. Cause i wanna show the entire god damned gun and not only one of the nine anims it has.
I had to add the shell in there because if i would not have it, the entire looped reload animation would start with "No shell in mag, adding a shell" and then loop around to have no shell again.
By keeping one shell in there the looped reload animation works.
I would have liked to make this entire thing realistic, but valve didn't code this, or any weapon, to work realistically.

That, and actually topping the magazine off was a painfully obvious idea and it has finally arrived!
But i have not found a nice model yet. Most use the drum mag.
