You can use my mods, but I can't use assets of Paradox Interactive that they put as part of German Portraits DLC that were not available for German players - these are mainly portraits of all the Nazi German leadership from the game.

So... what's difference for the German version owners then? I'm not German, but I have its version and it would really piss me off if I couldn't use your mods :(

I've updated all of the mods to remove all the content owned by Paradox Interactive that was previously blocked in the German version of the game. I suspect this is why only one of my mods was banned from Steam.

TheBolshevikJew's portrait was moved here for now until I find the other solution.
Other miscellaneous 2d assets from the banned mod were moved to my focus tree mod.

Hopefully it will be enough to keep the rest of my mods on Steam Workshop. If not... we had a great run. Thank you for the last 6 years! Cheers!

Yeah - it got banned. I'm also temporarily banned from posting any new content on Steam Workshop.

I was not informed what was the exact reason for why the ban has happened. I'm going to wait if my other mods also get banned by Steam:
- if they're not going to be banned that can possibly mean that Paradox reported the mod for using their own content in it. I will proceed to upload the alternative portraits into this mod without the use of Paradox assets, but this will unfortunately leave German players without all the content and with the censored version of the game...
- if the mods are all going to get reported and banned then I'm sorry... nothing I can do about it. Let's be thankful that we had a long run of almost 6 years when the Steam/Paradox allowed these mods to exist.

In the newest update I've added real photos of German leaders from 1939-1942 as the event pictures instead of Paradox portraits.

I've been a long time fan of your historical work. Despite uninstalling and reinstalling and so on, this still shows the pink sign showing incompatibility. I am not sure what to do to assure it becomes compatible? Open to suggestions and thank you for the time and for your work.

I would want this game to be as realistic, besides why care about raging over this mod even though this is just a game, don't people have other things to rage at in life?

actuall @hkasler it isn´t really illegal in germany anymore. pdx only wanted to sell as stress-free as possible and censored: event pics, emblems, logos, flags, portraits... because its cheap and lazy.

Quit if for fucks sake, this is a mod meant to preserve historical accuracy, the original game had the images edited because in Germany it is illegal to sell a game containing that content and Gerany makes up a large part of PDX's income, there was no political moves and no "stalinist historical revisionism" it's a fucking game, not a hyper-accurate simulation. If you want a historically accurate depiction just sub to the mod and leave your politics out of it ffs.
