its a shame the devs change the code SO MUCH it breaks tons and tons of mods - im going to guess this mod is dead as its not working for me and many others and no updates for a long time

@Talya Exactly. Who we CAN blame way way way harsher than people seem to insist on, is the shitty ass developers who made a skeleton of a game(for how wide and complex they tried to go for that is) and then relied on what is basically just volunteer work to make their game actually fun past 100 hours max vanilla is.

Yes I am aware a small portion of PC players play vanilla or vanilla with a few QoL mods, but we also all are aware I think that it is a small portion of players. Almost everyone has 10 mods and multiple large, game changing mods at minimum.

@GotWeenies cmon, as much as we all want this mod to get updated. updating mods is a tough thing to do and very unrewarding at times, its a hobby for some and people just move on or dont think its worth updating the code for a newer version. yeah its frustrating but you cant blame them

I want to create an animation asset. According to the guide, after optimizing the hierarchy in unity, the animation of scene and game window will not play, and the animator will run normally. I skipped this step to import the game and zoom in to see the model disappear, but cal did not report an error. Other cal assets operate normally. Can you help me find out the problem? thank you.

Update:
added support for klyte's LoadingScreenMod (fixed for airport DLC),
updated Harmony dependency to v2 (now requires Harmony mod to be subscribed)

I talked with klyte. It seems like CAL is incompatible with klyte's version of LSM.

You can use CAL without LSM. I will release a fix next week(end)

Well, I also see a problem, when LSM TEMP is on. In my output.txt I see:
plugin `1664509314:Custom Animation Loader (CAL)` added successfully!
Adding package '1706978404' [C:\Program Files ... \1706978404\Animated Excavator.crp]

... and the excavator is not even there, the other animated assets are not working.

Yea it work when i load the game without LSM tamporary fix, but when i load with LSM it stop working.

This mod stopped working after update. My bridges no longer raise however teh barriers do drop and the traffic waits and the boats go thru. just the bridges dont raise/lower no more

Hi, looks like Custom Animation Loader and Custom effect stop working since the update but i find out the culprit ; it conflict with LSM tempory fix from Klyte45, i guess will wait the original version :)

@spaldingbarnaby12 since this mod is working for me and I had a couple of animated assets using it, I believe that you have other incompatible mods, which would not allow Custom Animation Loader to function. Check my modlist and try to filter the problematic mods.

I do not see your output.txt, but I assume that Custom Animation Loader has unsuccessfully loaded.

It could also be possible, that you have a broken asset, and the Custom Animation Loader fails to function with it.

This mod doesn't work for me, it causes my game to reset progress every-time I open the game and I then have to re-unlock all unique buildings and go through the tutorial again.

Hey asset creators, did you know you can add sound to the custom animated buildings, you just have to do is add a sound source to the main gameobject in Unity.

I'm sorry, that part of the instructions is outdated (because I didn't know about the problem at that point).

You need to give a unique name (maybe use the asset name + creation date) for the asset bundle name in unity editor: http://cslmodding.info/mod/custom-animation-loader/#prefab-asset-bundle

"In the bottom of the inspector window click the AssetBundle dropdown and click "New" and give it a unique name, it can't be the same as any other asset bundle of any other asset."
