That is an alternative, but a ps3 shouldn't cost that much nowadays.

would be dependant on hardware and how well RPCS3 is coded for those.
If coded good and few bugs and you have a good PC. It will slaughter the PS3 in performance and you could get better visuals by upping the resolutions.
