It's a shame, but it's the truth. If there's no incentive to continue doing something then you end up stopping that thing.

For example: I hadn't played Space Engineers in a long time due to my crappy bandwidth, I continued to mod it cause I love this community and the developers.

Unfortunately I've fallen on hard times and decided to focus on my future, which unfortunately meant no longer modding. Within the first couple months my Patreon support quadrupled to $200/month for developing my own game.

Whenever I can, through the success of Project Universe, I may return to modding SE. This time I'll have a team, so the quality of everything will jump significantly. If I had $2000/month at the start of this year from Patreon, I would've kept modding SE.

When you use Workshop Mods, those are the chances you take.
None of the Authors are obligated to Update or even Keep their mods on the Workshop. They do all of these out of the kindness of their hearts and in their Free Time. They're Not getting paid for these.
Mods breaking because of DX11 are Not the Author's fault. Mods breaking are the risks of both creating & using mods. The Devs are under no obligation to make sure old mods work with their updates. Their only concern is the game itself.

The Witch deleted all of their mods from their workshop page and fucked a lot of people over with those blocks in their designs. Half of my designs became broken when the DX11 heavy armor mod was deleted.

I'll see about getting my SE mods fixed when I'm able to pay someone to do it. It might be a long time until that happens.

I want to ask for something no relative to this mod. I am trying to build my own model and the old SE tools for blender is no longer working, my model appears extremely large in size.
what model program do you use? any helpful add-ons that can help you? I dont want to give up.

Sounds like what has happened is that it is no longer referencing the models properly any more, the developers must've made some sort of change to file structure. Someone will have to open the mod folder and check the CubeBlocks.sbm file comparing it to the last vanilla CubeBlocks.sbm to see what changes need to be made in order to fix it.

Something seems to have happened to the textures, because when placed in creative mode they appear as purple boxes. If there are any modders out there that can fix this, please do!

@FloppyDolphins you have nothing to worry about! These are staying right here. I even have them all backed up in case something happens so someone can restore them. Can you guys rally together and help promote the game I'm developing? We can use all the help we can get in getting more followers. The sooner we get a lot, the sooner we get sponsors!

@Shaostoul just a request - please leave your mods on the steam workshop so people can download them to fix once they break. The Witch deleted all (her?) mods from the workshop and broke a bunch of my ships as a result so I just want to kindly ask you keep these mods up, even though you are not modding anymore.

No. They were already recoded twice. These are an 'upgraded' version of the force field mod with more features. We however are now developing our own game and I no longer want to mod SE, as it's not a financially sound decision to keep modding (I was only getting $50/month for modding SE for 4 years. I'm getting over $150/month in only 3 months of starting to develop my own game) and I can't even play it multiplayer due to my crap internet. Once I raise enough financial support through developing our own game, I can consider returning to SE modding, if I still want to at that point. If you want to learn more, check out my Patreon.

From Blue: They aren't blueprint compatible.. Which means they are not copy paste compatible.

Not sure if there is a bug, but I pasted a blueprint in creative with a wall made out of Ver A block, it works in creative, but after saving and exiting, when I reload the block does not come up in the G menu for me to operate the block.

UPDATE: Version 1.0.0
Additions:
Fully featured HUD with controls and feedback.
Fully Multiplayer ready
Proper integration into progression system.

Changes:
Blocks that are separated from a grid now check to see if they are with their master before being deleted. No more merged ships losing their Nanowalls when disconnected.

Fixes:
Fixed crash when removing any other upgrade module from a grid.. sorry about that

UPDATE:
-Added line variants to the transparent grid at IP0T's suggestion.

We're now sitting at 93 total models for this mod. If you want me to take the time to make additional shapes, we need to raise my Patreon to $1000/month. The reason why is, because it'll take forever to make all of the custom shapes that have been requested and be extremely tedious to do so.

This is what the equation looks like.
((Patterns*Colors)+Fills+Physics+Opaque)Grid Sizes
This is what we're at before adding a the line pattern.
((4*8)+3+1+1)2 = 74 Models
If we add a single extra pattern, we get
((5*8)+3+1+1)2 = 90 Models
If we add a single extra shape and this extra lines pattern like a 1x1 slope we have to add to the equation...
(((5*8)+3+1+1)2)2 = 180 models
If we're to have sufficient enough models to fill out additional angles
(((5*8)+3+1+1)8)2 = 720 models

It will take a **very** long time to get all of that made. That's why I encourage donations and why my desire to work on SE has died down a lot. A lot of work for a game I don't even play or receive much donations for.
